ROBLES INTERNAL AFFAIRS REPORT RELEASED, TERMINATION RECOMMENDED
"Honesty, Integrity and making our neighborhoods safe" as the campaign brochure states is hardly the image portrayed in the document released today.
The Hartford Police Department's Internal Affairs report into the alleged misconduct of Officer Hector Robles has been released today. The 300 page report documents in detail allegations that will most likely result in criminal charges against Robles.
The report outlines "double dipping" allegations that Robles was collecting pay for private duty jobs (PJ's)at the same time he was getting paid for his regular shifts as a community service officer (CSO) in Hartford's South Meadows area. The report documents almost $10,000 in alleged thefts from the city by Robles' actions.
I will post more as I review the report and the investigation narrative.
The Department is recommending that Robles be terminated. Sources are also telling me that the report was delivered to Hartford County States Attorney Gail Hardy for criminal prosecution. That may not be the end of the road though as some are suggesting that the State's Attorney Public Integrity Unit also review the case due to Robles's position as a State Legislator from Hartford's 6th District.
Robles won his primary bid on Tuesday beating his challenger by a 2 to 1 margin. Questions had arisen during the campaign and Robles had assured the voters, media and even his own Town Committee that the report was administrative in nature, was not a criminal investigation and that the issues had been resolved. That apparently does not seem to be the truth of the matter as outlined in the IAD report.
In an unusual move, the Hartford Police Union endorsed Robles for re-election in a mailer sent out prior to Tuesday's primary. The IAD was fairly common knowledge and allegations were being raised even before the mailing was sent out promoting Robles's "honesty and integrity". According to Alyssa Peterson, Robles's opponent in Tuesday's primary, she was not aware of any selection process used for the endorsement. Peterson states she was never contacted for an interview or questioned before the Union arbitrarily endorsed Robles.
Is this guy still working? Why hasn't he been suspended until his hearing? This is wrong that an alleged thief is still working as a police officer. How does he have any credibility and what happens to any arrest or investigation he makes. Sounds like a defense attorneys dream com true. He should be suspended immediately, or do cops and state reps get special treatment?
ReplyDeleteMinnie Gonzalez is next
ReplyDeleteThe report reads as an essay in very bad fraud. We now have a finding by his employer, which is replete with fraud and larceny.Only a few weeks ago he was at his town committee meeting and indicated that the internal investigation was nothing...merely administrative in nature...and that he did no wrong. That doesnt appear to be the case now and he should re-appear to his town committee and tell them why he lied to them. Moreover, he should resign from the town committee and his representative seat.If he refuses to resign from the town commitee they can force him out.
ReplyDeleteHartford is swamped with criminals and the corrupt masquerading as politicians, its a shame to see all this unravel before our very eyes. However, when the Hartford political establishment has a casual attitude towards crime, then criminals like this appear. My guess is that Jean Holloway the Chair of the Hartford Democratic Party will do nothing about this RObles matter. She never complained or took a position about Eddie Perez so we dont expect her to do the right thing about Robles either.
Within the rubric of the political system in Hartford are more criminals and corrupt politicians....stay tuned.
Brookman is next for extorting his buddy Angel Morales , Brookman talk about that on your blog how you forced your buddy to pay you money that you didn’t earn you are as crooked as Robles it all over the streets you think you control the media but you will find out how fast thing can turn against you. Buddy
ReplyDeleteJean Holloway as Chair of the HDTC should call a special meeting to discuss the Robles matter in light of the Perez conviction and how these 2 serious criminal matters will effect our party. But Ms Hollaway will not do the right thing and call the meeting since she has a felon right there as the Secretary of the HDTC and her vice chair..to whom she was an aide...is under investigation for taking kickbacks.
ReplyDeleteMr Anonymous...your buddy Angel Morales was incarcerated 5 times and as recently as 2006 was in jail...you must have the brains of a fkn fencepost if you would believe him on anything....
ReplyDeleteAnonymous and your comments about Angel:
ReplyDeleteFirst off, the agreement was made for my services as Angel's campaign manager and is public information when and if Angel's campaign filings are completed properly. Second, Angel was listening to his friends Minnie and Ramon and he was being provided advice contrary to my views. An example is that no one other than me apparently had an issue with using taxpayer money to rent a Lincoln since Angel had no car. Not even an economy car, but a Lincoln. If Roldan was smart he would have done a quick mailing showing Morales getting out of his rented Lincoln with a caption "this is how he is spending your money now, what do you think he will do when he gets to the Capitol?". There are numerous other issues that can be raised as examples as to why I chose to sever my ties with Angel, but the other major one was Angel being less than truthful regarding his past. Angel had led me to believe that his last incarceration and arrest was in 1988/1989. A reporter from the Courant informed me I was mistaken and he had Dept. of Correction records showing Morales was imprisoned as recently as 2006, hardly the 20 years of being clean I was telling people. When I confronted Morales about it he said he had not corrected me because he "didn't think it was important".
And as far as earning the money paid, I earned every penny of the $3500.00 I was paid as campaign manager for the nonsense I put up with. I was making calls from a hospital bed to convince people to donate to him so he could qualify for CEP funds.
And as far as calling it "extortion", I would think someone that had been convicted of and served time for practicing law without a license would know the meaning of extortion.
Anyone have a guess as to who will live longer with their mommy ...john kennelly or angel morales ?
ReplyDeleteAt least Johnny Kennelly has been consistent in living with his mother.
ReplyDeleteAngel Morales only lives with his mother after he has been released from the care and control of the Department of Correction.
Maybe Minnie can adopt Morales. Then she can get him a job at the MDC like she did for her own son. Oh wait, that probably won't work, you at least need a driver's license to work at the MDC and Morales can't get one.
Despite the difficulties Hector is facing right now I wish the best for him and his family.
ReplyDeleteKeep moving forward Hector, this too shall pass. It ain't over till its over and even then there's hope. We love ya!
ReplyDeleteYolanda...if these charges are true then Hactor has disgraced himself, his family and the citizens of Hartford who elected him.Lets stop having such a casual attitude when it comes to crimes committed by those in the political system and start demanding some personal responsibility from our elected officials.Only then will Hartford's corruption problem get better.
ReplyDeleteStar One...yeah...he will "move forward" to sharing a prison cell with Eddie Perez
ReplyDeleteKelvin how many male escorts will $3,500.00 buy tell me sugar daddy. Did you and Angel break up, because that is the rumor
ReplyDeleteKevin, I had a feeling something wasn't right when I read about Angel and the luxury Lincoln on Cityline. I didn't believe you would've supported this move as his campaign manager. I guess he really was listening too much to Minnie and Ramon. What a shame. Basically he used you to get over. I would love to hear about the other nonsense you had to put with regarding the campaign at some point.
ReplyDeleteKevin,
ReplyDeleteI got a funny feeling your boy Angel Morales played you like Rubinstein got played in the DTC elections.
Move forward and do not let Morales, Gonzales, Arroyo, Carbone and Vargas play with you NO mo...
Mr or Ms Anonymous of 9:21PM;
ReplyDeleteNo one "played me", i wouldnt put my name forward once i saw how fked up the HDTC is...as i went around i saw way too many corrupt folks for me to deal with...I wasn't interested in advancing for leadership a person who is under federal investigation for kickbacks nor was I interested in the advancement of a felon who as late as 2006 was in jail...having seen some political operatives that were supporting me advance these losers, I bailed out and my name never was put in for a vote..and I am glad I walked away.
The HDTC now is crime and corruption ridden, with officers who are felons and under investigation and with political operatives in a few districts who are corrupt and with terrible personal baggage that will come out should they run for something. The HDTC is a laughingstock in statewide politics and it is interesting to note that not many candidates seem to want to come here and campaign.
Mira,
ReplyDeleteSr. Rubber Stain,
Yo man, I am Zory.
Bruce, are you sure you didnt pull out because your reputation is that of a scum? You do nothing but sit there and try to act like some big "do good" person, knocking others for their faults, but never do you look in your own closet at your skelekins. Your not the "good" person you try to claim, and everyone knows and sees it. So why don't you just keep your posts to yourself and your lazy "going nowhere attitude" playing on the computer pretending your someone special (did you take the short bus to school)? People will see you for the piece of crap you are. Just a big mouth NOBODY.
