I have been getting calls all week regarding the LSNI (Livable Sustainable Neighborhood Initiative) program that was created by Mayor Segarra and required the hiring of four special assistants to Chief Operating Officer David Panagore. That program now appears to be in free fall as two of the special Assistants to Panagore now have resigned and as Jenna Carlesso at the Courant reports, none of the work done on the property has been billed or liens placed on the properties to secure the City's financial interest. Click here to read Jenna's story
The entire story is a classic case of finger pointing, but at the very least it points out the incompetence of this Administration. I have to ask, when is someone going to step up and say enough is enough. One name keeps showing up front and center in every embarrassment for the Segarra Administration.... David Panagore.
Is the Council going to ever show enough backbone to do what Segarra is obviously incapable of, and that is to ask the tough questions and hold Panagore accountable for his actions. The list is endless of the discredit he has brought to Mayor Segarra and unfortunately us as a City.
The $400,000 to the Market at Hartford 21, the $50.000 Police Chief search, the whole Dan Nolan mess, and now the Hartford Police Credit Union debacle that seems to be headed to another lawsuit because of Panagore's actions. Not to mention the adversarial relationship with our friends at the Capitol created by our caped crusader in the waning days of the Legislative session..
I can go on and on, but let me be the first to go on the record and say David Panagore needs to go and take his travelling circus show of incompetence with him.
entirely on the mark, Panagore has left every City he has worked in in a state of upheaval. Mayor Segarra, stop the insanity now and don't let him do it to Hartford. He is making you look like an amateur every day he is here
ReplyDeleteBlaming Panagore takes the responsibility off the shoulders of the utterly inept LSNI captains, only one of which was worth hiring in the first place. This sounds more like ax-grinding than looking carefully at the problem at hand: too much of taxpayers' dollars were allocated for most of these captains to sit around on their hands doing nothing.
ReplyDeleteAre you kidding me this jabroni is an offense to anyone else who wears a bow tie. Someone needs to follow t he trail of bread crums this assclown is leaving in each city he destroys. He weighs as much as a neutron bomb and the devastation he creates is just as deadly.
ReplyDeleteHow do you make a statement as he did in the courant article, "Its not whether on day one we invent the perfect system, it's getting he system up and running." How redicuious and inept is that statement. If the system is broken on day one then why continue, unreal. The other statement, about a formal review if he's serious let someone without a stake in the game do the review, but we can't have that, because the cape wearing, bow tie, Jenny Craig, Eddie Perez flunky, jabroni would be exposed for what he really is nothing but a hemorrhoid on the city's bottom line, if you smellllllll what the Rock, is cookin.
With that goatee maybe he can get a job at KFC. Col. Sanders will turn over in his grave. Dave just take your pension and health care package, looking at your current weight, you'll need it and just leave the city, do something right for once.
ReplyDeleteDig deeper Kevin. Panagore has other ASSistants who are not assigned to any particular initiative other than to stroke Panagore's ego and attend endless meetings. One of them is one of Eddie's peeps.
ReplyDeleteWhy cant the public and the tax payers vote or remove this fool from his position? The mayor still has a chance to save face and remove this idiot from his postion. A good job for this loser would be collecting shopping carts in the walmart lot......
ReplyDeletePanagore needs to go!!!!!!
ReplyDeletePanagore needs to go!!!!!!
Panagore should be pumping gas and not running a city into the ground financially.
Panagore is a fat dead beat loser who could not run a lemonade stand...........
ReplyDeleteSomeone should look into the city credit card records that Panagore uses to wine and dine downtown....just sayin....must be nice to drink and eat on Kevin's tax moneys........
ReplyDeleteThe real story here is Dave's boy toy, Jonas Maciunas who was given the charge by Commander Dave, a raise and a new title. He was promoted to Senior ACOO to run LSNI. He ran it alright, right into the ground. Notice that Dave never at any point in his finger pointing article did he ever mention Jonas Maciunas. Who was in charge of the ACO's who were in charge of the program. They make a great team. Cape Crusader & the Boy Wonder. Let's see if anyone looks into the facts surrounding the Boy Wonder. Coming soon to a theatre near you.....
ReplyDeleteThe Council if it has any leadership should have the appropriate committee investigate this travesty..
ReplyDeleteInteresting story by Jenna. Edison Silva is a Perez buddy. He should have been gone long ago. He will always blame his problems on somneone else.
ReplyDeleteI love how none of this is the Mayors or Councils fault. Panagore must be doing something right if his detractors are Kevin Brookman and a couple anonymous commenters.
ReplyDeleteReally then where is your name or did your parents name you anonymous???? Part of it is the Mayors fault and the council can correct the problem by calling the bow tie to carpet. We all know the Mayor has not surrounded himself with the best or the brightest but to suggest this was not the fault of Panagore is nuts. If you love him so much put him in charge of your household snd let him run it if you believe in his abilities.
DeleteThe only ability he's demonstrated besides running up the city's credit card is his destruction he leaves in each city he's works for just look at Springfield,MA he dud wounders for that city, yeah right.
Can someone just drop Panagore off at the pound, please!!!!
ReplyDeleteI saw Rock boy mention the horrible work Panagore did in Springfield. This is what was found:
ReplyDelete"The city had a $41 million deficit and Panagore is among those credited with boosting the city over the past four years into balanced budgets and current cash reserves and stabilization funds of about $80 million."
oooh, horrible.
there was also a quote from the President of the Spfld City Council saying that Panagore leaving to Hartford was a "terrible loss" for Spfld.
yup, sounds like someone who was being run out of that city
Good to hear from you, David
ReplyDeleteHey "the paper"
ReplyDeleteI am sure The bow tie did not do it all on its own, just like any media type you probably left important facts like layoffs, budget cuts, and lack of economic growth, and how much the city got from the state.
Unless you are an idiot no one that GREAT! leaves a city if they have done so much, a valued employee would be worth their weight in gold. If you know how govt. works sometimes they give glowing recommendations just to get rid of a jabroni like the bow tie.
As many cities he has worked for I would question his track record, he is the type of guy that would come in 5th in a 3 person race. If he's so wonderful then what happened when he landed in Hartford, did he lose his magic wand coming down 91, I dout it. Even a villain has some fans, I guess. I ve got a cure for this ailment it's called preparation H , if you smelllllll what the rock is cooking.
No matter how much of a bumb you are someone will say positive things about you. Sometimes for political reasons other times because they are just as clueless as you are. Look at all the wonderful character references Eddie Perez got during his criminal trial.
ReplyDeleteSorry David you're a bumb and Hartford doesn't want you. Consider yourself lucky Segarra doesn't have the cojones to get rid of you.
Interesting to see that The Paper links to an actual news report and The Rock just keeps harping about a bow tie and making emotional statements about the Panagore guy.
ReplyDeleteJust saying...
Panagore,
ReplyDeleteGO AWAY, City Hall smells while you're there.
Panagore is a nice man, he bought me a drink at hot tomatoes once with the city credit card.....He also bragged about how he is in charge of Hartford.....
ReplyDeleteThe one thing you never hear from anyone at City hall is "I made a mistake. I will work to correct it". It's always someone elses fault or "computer glitches" or some other excuse. nobody there will take responsibility. Losers
ReplyDeleteThe first shoe...
ReplyDeleteJonas Maciunas was exiled to Development Services and Gaby is reconsidering.
Pedro you need to exile Panagore,
who knows what other little secrets adorn the office of the COO, your creditability is on the line.
Panagore the fiendish reincarnation of #^%)ing Hennessy
