ANOTHER HUGE SEIZURE FOR HARTFORD'S SHOOTING TASK FORCE

1508 Heroin Packets

9 pounds of marijuana, 1,508 heroin packets, 3 handguns Seized by Hartford's Shooting task Force

Members of Hartford's Shooting Task Force have been conducting an investigation into firearm activity in the Parkville neighborhood. In response to that investigation, a "stash" location of firearms was identified as being stored in a local storage facility. A search warrant was obtained for the storage locker.

On Monday, August 19, 2013, the storage unit was searched. In the unit police found 2 ,9mm handguns and loaded clips, a 45mm Smith and Wesson and a loaded clip. 1,508 heroin packets marked "fear none" and 9 pounds of marijuana.

Imagine if the Task Force was fully funded like it was at this time last year what they would be finding. It seems like an effort well worth it with the dent it is putting in Hartford's illegal gun and drug operations

  1. It's about time, after all of the OT they get finally some results. I guess they have to justify one Sargent getting about 40 hours in OT every week while patrol cars go unfilled and neighborhood foot beats are pulled.

  3. Maybe it's about getting the best "bang" for the buck!!
Have one sergeant take care of business or hire W. Smith to fill car 1 and miss another body. Might as well leave car 1 NF. And it isn't just him, many others lazy the same way.

Spoken like a true member of the STF, since when did you become some super cop. It wasn't too long ago that you were pushing a line car yourself. Oh, and since when is getting the best bang for your "buck" as you called it by having a Sgt. Pal around with the former disgraced mayors Chief of Staff or chauffeuring the Chief around on OT proper use of OT. Don't defend a man who will make 3x his reg salary, as long as his pockets are fat that's all that matters to him.
