RUBENSTEIN ELECTED CHAIR OF AUDIT COMMISSION

What is that saying about karma?

In an interesting twist this afternoon, Hartford Attorney Bruce Rubenstein was elected as Chairperson of the Hartford Internal Audit Commission. This move followed the welcoming of the newest Audit Commission member Ted See, a Hartford resident and retired attorney. The vote was unanimous in favor of Rubenstein taking over the Chairpersons position

 Hartford Deputy Corporation Counsel L. John Van Norden is most likely in his office at this very moment drafting an opinion that Rubenstein's vote was illegal and proposing  an ordinance change to prohibit the vote

Rubenstein has been relentless in digging into City issues since his appointment to the commission earlier this year

  1. Congrats Bruce!!! Keep the fight, this Administration has no clue, vision or integrity. They have double standards and could give two s%%%s about Hartford. Persevere my friend!

    HAHAHAH!

    Wake up you idiots! Ask yourself one question -- why wasn't the audit commission investigating the treasurer Hybrid insurance thing? Because Bruce didn't want to get his pal Cloud in trouble. And this is who the City has as the new chair.

    Bruce was appointed by the dirty Treasurer Cloud. And if you look into the comments to the other posts about him here you can see that Bruce has no business being on the commission. Bruce is a self-interested - self-dealing piece of crap and wants nothing but keep his guys in power -- see Treasurer Cloud not being audited by the commission --- and poor Sean Wooden - he needs to get off this train wreck before his political caboose tied to Bruce gets engulfed in the flames.

    Bruce did a good job posting his own anonymous praises here. Nobody likes Bruce = they are just afraid of preconceived power that he has -- but it is all a made up fairy tale by Bruce too.

    Bruce is conflicted and needs to go. And Kevin needs to stop pretending that his best friend is going to save this mess.

  5. Dear Marboro Man;

    I guess you dont read the newspaper very often. Bruce and the Audit Commission did in fact investigate Hybrid/Cloud and found Adam negligent with an apparent conflict of interest and that audit report was sent out to the public weeks ago.

    Since you lied about the Audit Commission/Bruce nothing else you posted has any credibility.

  6. Jules, the audit commission refused to investigate. A staffer from the city audit dept (not the same thing) wrote some lame watered down memo to look like they did ssomething. Even that puff piece said rules weren't followed but said good ole boy AC had no ill intent. The auditor was much more venomous on stupid take home cars then the missing $670k that AC had the major role in the scam. Missing money is much more serious yet the staffers clearly did not want to bite the hand that feeds them.

  7. The so called "internal auditors" are pawns of Cloud's. Did you read their P-card audit? They rightfully highlighted the high on the hog living of Mayor Caviar, but "conveniently" excluded the same high life living of Cloud. His multiple iTunes purchases (still trying to figure out how that relates to his job), silk sheet hotels and expensive lunches and dinners on the public/pensioner's backs.

    And anyone (including Rubenstein and Brookman) who drank the Cloud Kool Aid, better find a new beverage. Cloud has hired an attorney, that's something innocent people don't do. Wondering what bond authorization soft costs he's gonna hide that payment in.

  8. Lets not forget Bruce, that AC mess in NYC hotel. He had his buddy O'Garro pay for his hotel room when he was on city business. Isn't it against city code to accept gifts or 'payments' from vendors over 50 bucks? Cohen already posted Claud's email and Hotel room was what 350 change? Its funny when the investiagtion involves anyone else they are like dogs on the hunt, but when its involves cloud its ohhh he made a 'mistake' and all should be forgiven. cloud only been treasurer since 2011 and in 2 years has been embroiled in incident after incident with no questions from this internal audit division. The IA is the biggest joke out there, maybe second only to Cloud. Really at this point who cares who the commission chair is, you are all known to be jokers and no one cares what you or Bruce have to say anymore!!
