DETAILING THE DILLON STADIUM CONCERNS

Although it appears that Thom Deller and the majority of those at City Hall were unfamiliar with fact checking and Google, luckily the City Council's attorney was. Below is the letter sent by Allan Taylor to Council President Shawn Wooden and Councilman Ken Kennedy outlining his concerns.

It is unclear why the full Council wasn't advised, but maybe those who have the most to lose were first on the list.

Much more to come out I am sure.

I apologize for the "we the people" watermark through the document, but I am getting a little tired of posting documents and others taking them as their own. At least now they will have to do a little work to get them on their own.

  1. A question: Why is Allan Taylor's letter undated? Just sayin'...

I had the same question thank's for asking. But to the issue at hand. This ignorant behavior on the part of elected officials is inexcusable. They are either incredibly stupid or liars.

  3. No attorney would write a letter without a date. Something's fishy.

  4. The whole thing is fishy. Why would it only go to Kennedy and Wooden and not all the councilmembers are they the only two that may be involved in an investigation ?

  5. I am amused by the idea that lawyers don't make mistakes. If only it were true. Here are the facts. They, unlike the speculation, are boring.
I got a copy of the financial letter late in the afternoon of October 6. I did some research on it before leaving for the day. I had a State Board of Education meeting that ended shortly before noon on October 7 and then resumed work. I emailed the completed memorandum to its addressees at 8:43 p.m. on October 7 in anticiipation of a telephone call that had been schduled for the next morning. The memorandum had been completed shortly before then and I proofread it a couple of times. I guess I was tired; I didn't notice the absence of a date until Thursday. If I were a trained secretary, I probably would have noticed it earlier, but although I'm a pretty proficient typist, I am not a professional.
The memorandum was addressed to the participants in the scheduled call: Councilman Kennedy because he sponsored the resolution; Councilman Wooden because he is the Council President; Mr. Deller because he was the lead administrator for the project; and Mr. Hill because he is the Chief Operating Officer. When I wrote it, I marked it privileged, as lawyers tend to do when they write something to ensure that they have the option to assert privilege on behalf of their clients if appropriate. My clients are the Council and the City. By Friday, it was clear to me that one of the recipients had talked to the press and described the memorandum in some detail, and I concluded that any privilege had been blown. With the Council President's approval, I sent the memorandum to the entire Council and their aides (the "City Council" internal mailing list) on Friday at 3:45 p.m.

  7. Here's Segarra's stupid remark to the Courant after learning of a federal investigation:

Segarra's confirmed the city "received subpoenas looking for documents and records" and added "We welcome the process and are eager to cooperate to protect the City and its residents, We hope this will shed light on if, or where, any potential mistakes were made."

Yo Pedro Maria Segarra, this is not a "PROCESS" like you call it, this is a "FEDERAL INVESTIGATION." Also, the investigation is looking for corruption, for gross mismanagement, which in my opinion is your entire administration, not any potential "MISTAKES" like you call this. There's only one mistake here, and that is that you are still the mayor after 5 miserable years.

  8. Last week, Henri Alexandre, who replaced Saundra Kee-Borges as the city corporate counsel, said the city will end its contract with Premier Sports for the Dillon Stadium.
Henri, tell us something, is this dirt with the Dillon Stadium, is this stupidity a leftover from the SKB days?

  9. THE NEW NAMING RIGHTS TO THAT STADIUM WILL BE CHANGED FROM "DILLON STADIUM" TO "DELLER STADIUM."

  10. Now to address breaking neYou'res that a federal grand jury is being impaneled. Can I apply? No really, I promise and I swear on the bible that I will remain impartial. And when I find the suspects guilty as charged, I will call for some fancy nooses to be knotted and a selection process for some strong oak trees in Bushnel Park.

  11. Anonymous at 2:50 PM: NO WAY, I WANT TO BE A MEMBER ON THIS GRAND JURY! As long as it takes, I'll be there!

  12. IMPEACH MAYOR CAVIAR. OH NO, THEN THE OTHER IDIOT, SHAWN WOODEN, WILL BECOME MAYOR FOR THE NEXT 2-3 MONTHS. THIS WOODEN CAN DO A LOT OF DAMAGE IN 2-3 MONTHS. WE'RE BETTER OFF WITHOUT A "MAYOR" FOR 2-3 MONTHS.

  15. "Potential mistakes were made?" Whose statement is that: Pedro Maria, Charlie O. or Maribel I am back LaLose?

Is this a joke or what? So now there're calling this a "mistake?"

  16. Let's call it what it is, a fraud perpetrated on the good people of Hartford. Now let's see where it all falls out and who is implicated

  17. As investigations go, it will quietly last for a year. Doubtful that any indictments will come down for a long time. It sounds as if the two likely individuals are Deller and Ken Kennedy. Both ill probably be convict d and sent to prison. It would be nice if Pretty-legged Kee-Borges was sent to Niantic Women's Prison for a stretch. A Bubba awaits Kenedy and a butch awaits Borges.. Bubba won't bother with Diller since he is over the hill. Shawn Wooden would be tasty treats to Bubba.

  18. @ 9:42 PM: Wait a minute, you're talking Kee-Borges in jail? if Kee-Borges goes to jail, what's gonna happen with lil Terry Waller?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Lil Terry Waller will become so big, he'll be the next fire chief. Lil-big Terry will show everyone that he can do it all by himself, with no push from Pedro-Maria or Saundra.

  20. Sandra, I know you read these blog posts. You told me awhile ago that you do. We smile at each other as all civilized individuals should do.but given the platform for aire our true feelings and grievances in an anonymous manner, we let it out. Nothing personal really. You are the victor here. You have benefited enormously from being in various city positions. You have taken the opportunity indeed, exploited to the max, pension padding and law suits in addition to everything else. You have acted as though Hartford, through its tax-paying citizens is a huge tit to perpetually suck on. Beside the alleged misconduct, you sucking on Mama Hartford's tit is what I most disrespect you for. Shame on you. You probably will not be legally punished enough for improprieties. But you have associated with quite a gang of thiev s and fools. It eventually rubs off.
