TIME FOR A ROAD TRIP

Since Hartford no longer "has it", consider visiting our suburban neighbors to the south or the west.

  6. These other cities didn't do what Hartford did. Spend wildly and then, spend some more. Get used to it. When the state takes over, you will be paying for the air you breathe. And you should because Hartdord can't afford oxygen.

And Segarra's Folly sits like a bloated drunk with nothing to do. There are too many poor, special needs, criminals, ignorant folks living in Hartford. And more are coming. If Hartford can't afford it, then it shouldn't buy it.

The City's budget is only half-paid for by local revenue. The rest is already paid by the State. That's the price the suburbanites are willing to pay (so far) to keep their schools and neighborhoods relatively pleasant while appearing to give a crap about the poor and down-trodden (unpleasant) Democrat electorate en-ghettoed here. We'll see as the State melts down financially and cuts funding to wealthy school districts, if the people there may realize that the State does nothing at all for the education of their kids; might as well have their own genuinely local schools in places like Greenwich, Westport and Glastonbury.

  9. The Courant's Dan Haar wrote this morning that Hartford fireworks can still happen.
Wait a minute, didn't that idiot Dan Haar support the multi million dollars spending on that baseball ballpark we don't need and we cannot afford?
Dan Haar, if you've had any brain maybe paying for the fireworks wouldn't have been so difficult.

Hey stupid, Dan Haar did not support the stadium. Senility can take a heavy toll on a person.
