18-30582: Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash Arrest
On Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at approximately 1525 hours, officers were dispatched to a report of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle in the area of 521 Wethersfield
Avenue. Upon arrival, officers located a male pedestrian suffering from serious injuries in the roadway. The pedestrian, later identified as Stanislaw Gnatek, was transported via ambulance to Hartford Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. The operator
of the vehicle, Miguel Nazario DOB 10/30/1985, was transported from the scene by ambulance to Hartford Hospital for evaluation and cooperated with the investigation. Officer Lemke of the Crime Scene Division was assigned as the lead investigator.
Accused: Miguel Nazario DOB 10/30/1985, of 289 Brittany Farms Road, New Britain, CT.
Charges- Misconduct with a Motor Vehicle, 53a-57, Failure to Drive in Proper Lane, 14-236(1), and Failure to
Use Care to Avoid a Pedestrian, 14-300d.

19-01622: Narcotics Warrant Operation - Narcotics Arrest
Over a several months long investigation, Detectives from Vice & Narcotics and the Street Crimes Unit, received information for narcotics (Fentanyl/Heroin) being sold
from the area of 110 George Street. The information was confirmed while conducting surveillance and controlled narcotics purchases. The investigation resulted in obtaining a search warrant for 110 George Street Apt-9. On January 24, 2019, a warrant operation
was conducted with the assistance of Hartford ERT. Several suspects were taken into custody without incident. As a result of the operation, approximately 1100 bags of packaged Fentanyl, suspected Xanex pills and US Currency was seized. In total, (3) adults
were arrested during the operation. (2) suspects were arrested for various unrelated charges while the third faced charges for narcotics possession and sales, along with an active warrant.

19-02566: Narcotics Warrant Operation - Narcotics Arrest
During the month of January, 2019, Detectives from the Hartford Vice & Narcotics Unit received information for narcotics (Heroin) being sold from the area of Wooster
Street. Detectives confirmed the information, conducting surveillance and controlled narcotics purchases. The investigation led detectives to obtain a search warrant for 164 Wooster Street (1st Floor). On January 24, 2019, Detectives from V&N conducted the
warrant operation where the suspect for the investigation was taken into custody without incident. In total, as a result of the operation, approximately 1700 bags of packaged Heroin, 2 ounces of Cocaine, and $1,000 in US Currency was seized. The suspect of
the investigation was arrested on narcotics possession and sales related charges. As a result of the operation, a second suspect was arrested on scene for narcotics related charges.

ReplyDeleteI guess this vehicle will join the other 150 + vehicles sitting in the max capacity impound lot. Maybe the brain trust in the support services division can use their crayons to draw out a solution to this simple task.
