FROM HPD: 2019 HOMICIDE NUMBER 5

On Thursday February 21, 2019 at approximately 2131 hours, Hartford Police Dispatch received a 911 call reporting a person being stabbed at 2327 Main Street. Responding Patrol Officers located a victim, who sustained multiple stab wounds, and the suspect who was taken into custody without incident. The victim was transported to Saint Francis Hospital for treatment and later succumbed to his injuries. The Major Crimes Division was notified and assumed control of the investigation. The suspect, Mayceo Montford DOB 01/03/1975 was later charged with one count of Murder and is currently being held in lieu of a $1,000,000 dollar bond.

Victim: Banks, Shawn DOB 08/29/1978 of 603 Blue Hills Avenue, Hartford, CT

  1. the press releases don't breakdown race, but at least one of the victims is white male from Middletown found on Woodland Drive, unknown on the others, but I'm not sure it really matters

  2. Mayceo Montford has been a violent criminal, offender, drug dealer and general asshole since approximately 1995 in the
    City of Hartford. One completely worthless example of the worst the city had to offer. No one positive example of anything in his life and now he has committed the ultimate crime. This thug should be placed in a small closet for the rest of his life. Now he can never hurt someone
    In public ever again. Good. A complete waste of DNA.

  3. I’m just trying to keep up with what seems like the never ending trend of identity politics . I even see this tax evading mayoral candidate Brandon McGee likes to publicly keep score on who’s white or black while holding press conferences. So I’m not sure why it really matters either but I’m an old guy trying to stay cool with our younger generation .
