HPD SERGEANT SUSPENDED FOR ON DUTY ASSAULT

Numerous sources are confirming for me that a Hartford Police Sergeant has been suspended after an on duty incident. The sources are telling me that the Sergeant was seen on video punching a black female prisoner in the face in the HPD Booking facility (lock-up).

Apparently at least three officers were in the area also and did seem to intervene on the black female prisoners behalf. The entire incident was captured on surveillance video from what I am told.

The Sergeant in question came to Hartford after apparently resigning from a previous position with the Baltimore Maryland Police Department.

No comment from Chief Thody as of this point.

There is an interesting twist to this. The same Lieutenant  who was the commander of the Major Crimes Division at the time of the "Deadpool" scandal when he was removed from that position is now the Commander of the Booking Division. It is unclear if Lieutenant Paul Cicero used his take home Tahoe to respond back to the City after the incident. I am told he DID NOT.

Under the new Police Accountability law enacted recently, Police Officers are mandated to intervene and report such incidents.

  1. I wonder if this Sergeant had prior history of domestic abuse towards females?

  4. Watching HPD corruption castle crumble is truly a joy, & I am thrilled to be a part of it.

HUMPTY DUMPTYS LEGAL FALL IS COMING 4-28-21 6-8PM. To my knowledge the officer with the MOST complaints & Police Union Vice President SHERBO will FINALLY be punished as he has NO DEFENSE for threat against me which also compromised an ELECTED OFFICIAL that he was kind enough to film with his OWN BODYCAM !!!! Officers were dispatched to said ELECTED OFFICIAL house after I informed HPD who lived at address HUMPTY DUMPTY took a picture of with his cell phone while displayed on POLICE COMPUTER making threat ABSOLUTELY credible. And as a special bonus O'Brien former Commander of internal affairs who tryed & FAILED to stop me with threats, stalking, Interfeaing with multiple investigations & trying to commit me on 2 consecutive business days unsuccessfully after I told him he was the inspiration for me wanting to target dirty cops leagaly.

Why do I push back so hard ? Because I have literally hundreds if not thousands of friends who work, live & play in Hartford.
FOLLOWING my elderly mother from a nursing home to find me to discurrage me from following threw with complaint IS UNFORGETTABLE.

    1. Do ya due diligence and homework. Said officer early in his career got drunk with a fellow officer and led Hartford Cops his own coworkers on a high speed chase all over the city. The PD tried to sweep under the rug until retired Sgt Rob Nelson got wind of it and personally brought the complaint to Chief Daryl Roberts. Karma has no expiration date!!!!

  5. Ok, here we go again. So the behavior history of this officer is unknown because? Because the Po-liceman’s Benevolent Association say the union rules forbid discovery? Likely. I feel disparagingly toward all cops until they or, y’all, begin removing the bad apples. Don’t you understand this little factoid? One bad apple can migrate rot. Get rid of the bad ones and y’all will get my respect and the respect of the public at large. New union contract next year. See ya soon.

They made comments regarding officers and domestic violence which may or may not be true, but they were not related to the topic. I’m trying to tighten the comments up a little.

    1. The second comment was directly related to the topic. Looks like Thody and Medina got you scared. Your blog is dead, just look at your numbers.

My feeling is that it is more about zero transparency by Chief Thody and Luke Bronin than anything to do with the Union. The hpd union is essentially non existent in most matters and is a lap dog for Thody.

The smart move would have been to get out in Front of this immediately instead of covering it up for a couple weeks until I found out about it.

    Will they never learn?

  10. The City of Hartford is the worst it’s ever been.I hope an police officer should look into getting out. Nepotism has plagued this city to long. Hire the Wright person for the job. Not be at of race or gender. HFD is a joke. Many incidents recently caused by lack of communication problems due to radio problems. Squad cars old out dated. Fire trucks running everyday that are older than the average age of the Members. Vehicle maintenance is a joke in the HFD. The top two guys are are out on injury’s or on a cell phone . The mechanics in the trenches are great but held back by management.

  11. Mr. Brookman thank you for bringing this incident to the public light.

The Hartford Police Department is and has been in disrepair because of the years of neglect from city hall and their political antatics; and past administrations poor decision and leadership. It has only been exacerbated by Jason Thody and his administration of hooligans, who toremeant, harass, and discriminate members of protected classes.

The good people of Hartford, Conn. should be very concerned and in fear of their safety and well-being with Jason Thody at the helm. They deserve so much better.

If Thody allows this disparaging treatment of his most precious resource, the men and women who dawn the uniform and risk their life daily, what type of behavior would he allow to be carried out on the community he’s supposedly taken an oath to serve and protect, correct?

Case in point, a sergeant promoted by Jason Thody himself, who violently assaults a female arrestee. Unacceptable! This individual should have never been promoted, but furthermore should have had the emotional intelligence and experience, and utilized his training to de-escalate the situation. Funny how this happened under the command of the dead-pool lieutenant too. Is this a pattern of behavior? Coincidence, I think not!!! Hartford residents consider yourselves warned!!!

This and many other reasons are why officers are bailing on HPD to join surrounding towns police departments for better equipment, more pay, respect, and leadership; or leave law enforcement completely.

What was Mayor Luke Bronin thinking?
