WHO IS TELLING THE TRUTH? DOES THIS SOUND 95%COMPLETE

Here is Max Reiss from NBC Conneticut's story tonight after his tour of the Yardgoats Stadium with Yardgoats owner Josh Solmon. Does it sound or look like 95%complete?

  1. Kevin, Please reply and tell me if I'm confused . Back in January our incompetent mayor/attorney Bronin brokered a deal to keep construction going when Centerplan claimed they were $10 million short. Bronin put Hartford on the hook for $5.5 million ,Josh Solomon committed 2 million if stadium was delivered on time and Centerplan's Landino committed (and I really don't get this) $225,000 for the next 25 yrs for the balance. Solomon doesn't have to pay and Centerplan isn't paying the fines ,so am I right in assuming the city is on the hook for the entire $10 million ? Where's that gonna come from ?

  2. It is ridiculous to think this gold mine stadium is near completion. To all the wonderful I Charles Matthews and dignitaries this new baseball stadium is Hartford's worst nightmare. Thanks for the history this so called stadium has made. This is just one more reason why people will not come to drama queen Hartford.

  3. 10:37 PM, all valid points and legitimate questions I guess we'll have to wait and see because there are not a lot of answers coming out right now

  4. I told the amateur Mayor that even if the stadium is completed, the revenue projections offered by the City and Centerplan were "cooked" and the Stadium Authority will never turn a profit. Bronin did not believe me and he is ruining the financial health of the City. This time next year the City will be bankrupt.

  5. Max has no personal interest in this stadium, I trust what was reported by him.
As for Jason Rudnick, well, this guy is a professional liar. We've heard this "95%", "almost 95%", "above 95%", "more than 95%", "95 to 97%" too many times and for too long. Max report showed us that this statement is not true. After all, if a picture is worth a thousand words, than a video is worth ten thousand words. Or more.

  9. Why even try to jam a stadium into a too small space, next to an interstate that will be ripped up? Talk about short sighted.

Hartford should have taken care of I-84 first (lowered to below grade) to create a larger building envelope for a stadium, and reconnect the North End to the rest of Hartford. What a debacle, but so appropriate for Hardupford, Patheticut.

  10. Above 95 or below 95... Shouldn't it be 99.9% by now? What say you Jason Rudnick?

Erin Elizabeth Stewart (born May 4, 1987) is an American politician who is the 40th and current Mayor of New Britain, Connecticut. [1] She was elected to her first term on November 5, 2013, at the age of 26; [2] and overwhelmingly reelected to her second term on November 3, 2015. Both times beating the odds in a city where Democrats outnumber Republicans 7-1.

She closed a deficit of more than $30 million during her first term,[17] while many were talking about filing for bankruptcy. She brought stability and responsibility back to the city’s finances, gained an unprecedented 3-notch upgrade [18] in New Britain’s bond rating by Standard & Poor’s in January 2015, and ushered in a further bond upgrade in January 2016 to "A+." 1. Maybe she can take little Luke under her wings and mentir him, Bronin is the Little Boy who cried Wolf...
we have no money, we have no money, yet he committs more to Done Deal Stadium.

Hey Luke we know you want to be Govenor, not happening, you failed as Mayor right out the gate. Your waving of the White Flag, highlights your "Short Comings", your inexperience, your corruption with your appointments, your lack of knowledge and your babbling stupidity.

  12. It's obvious that Erin Stewart, the Honorable Mayor of New Britain, is doing a better job - much better job - than anyone here in Hartford.

  13. Mayor Joke Segarra Caviar tried to stab Mayor Stewart in the back with his horrific deal with the Solomon family.
The Solomons knew that both Segarra and Deller are fool and arrogant.
At the end, Stewart is laughing all the way and Segarra the idiot bankrupted Hartford.

But, wait; she didn't go to an Ivy League school, and isn't even a lawyer. She's disqualified by virtue of extreme unsophisticated common sense.

Stewart graduated from New Britain High School in 2005, after which she attended Central Connecticut State University. In 2009, she earned a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences with a specialization in Public Administration and a minor in Communications.
