Accountability is something that has clearly been lacking in your Administration, so here is an opportunity to show that you can do what is right and even hold your lawyer buddy Sean Fitzpatrick accountable to the people of Hartford..
From my posting yesterday, I don't think there is much doubt that Hartford's Economic Development Director is violating the City's residency policy by claiming to live at a woman's social club on Woodland Street.
Fitzpatrick even swore to it in the Residency form below, that I obtained last night .Clearly the form states that any false information WILL result in immediate disqualification or dismissal. Not "may" but WILL result.
Let's see, Mayor Bronin, if you are actually capable of providing the leadership your position requires. The voters are waiting to see what you are made of.
Here is a link to Fitzpatrick's actual $644,000 Simsbury residence, yet he claims to live in a social club without even a full bathroom listed.

Fitzpatrick Affidavit on Scribd
Don't hold your breathe waiting for Bronin to do the right thing. He has already shown he is not a leader, just a pompous ass ready to climb the political ladder at the expense of his constituents. I would be amazed if he takes on his "lawyer buddy" and does what is right. I think Judge Killian would have done the right thing in a heartbeat, but I think we can all agree, Luke Bronin , you are no Bob Killian.
ReplyDeleteKevin, what do you want from Mayor Luke? Rumors are that Fitzpatrick is Sarah's appointee, not Luke Bronin's.
ReplyDeleteCan you provide us with a photo of the $644k residence? After all, a picture is worth a thousand words.
ReplyDeleteLIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIRE. TALKING ABOUT YOU SEAN FITZPATRICK.
ReplyDeleteBut who is the Mayor and wannabe Governor? Stupid question , we all know it is Sarah
ReplyDeleteMr. Brookman: let's all call it "SARAH FOR GOVERNOR" or "SARAH NEVER FOR GOVERNOR", skip the Luke part
DeleteIt would be interesting to see if he was expensing the nightly room rate to the city.
ReplyDeleteYou can see the room here: https://towncounty.com/guest-rooms
8:58am,
ReplyDeleteNo, but the address is there, feel free to take a ride and send me a pic. And I don’t think the issue is his actual residence, it appears to be the fraud he committed with his phony Hartford residence
If this is the true affidavit, and I assume it is, why wasn't the information verified and signed off on by a City employee? is this just another game where no one verifies, so no one is on the hook when it all blows up (like now)?
ReplyDeleteEither the whole residency is a scam (likely) or there's lots more people than just Bronin and Fitzpatrick involved. Or both.
If you want to attend a local school, many districts define residency much more strictly - why isn't "bona fide" defined as something like "the place where you sleep at least 6 nights out of 7, barring travel outside of the town or the State for vacation or business purposes"? Isn't this kind of bogus definition the same way that MDC chair Dibella has skirted the residency requirement for years?
Curious as to what our Corporation Counsel does if they can't define residency, can't enforce residency, and refer out just about every claim against the City.
10:07 AM
DeleteThe way I see it, the whole Fitzpatrick's residency is a scam, one big scam. Now, I'd like to know if the Bronins - Luke AND Sarah - are part of this scam.
The Corporation Counsel isn’t much better, but at least he pays rent for an apartment in Hartford 21, even if he’s never there.
ReplyDelete11:51am
ReplyDeleteMy understanding is that they are friends, that is how Fitzpatrick landed here. I know where my friends live, how about you?
I know where my friends live.
DeleteYou know where your friends live.
I hope Luke & Sarah know where their 'friend' lives.
Be honest Sean Fitzpatrick: where exactly do you live?
If you go to T&C Club's website, it appears they have a b&b/guesthouse type operation, and that is what he's claiming as the address.
ReplyDeletehttps://towncounty.com/guest-rooms
Does that sound like a legitimate residence?
ReplyDeleteIf the residency is phony, then is the voter registration illegal?
ReplyDelete$145/night, let's see the receipt, hard to believe he's maintaining a residence at that rate, it'd be $50k a year!
ReplyDeleteI live in Simsbury and I have a phoney arrangement with that women's club, with my friend Luke's knowledge...BTW- I worked with Luke at The Hartford Insurance years ago hahaha...he will never fire me
ReplyDeleteThe more I step back ,take a deep breath and take a long good look at what the Bronin’s and his friends and POS (pals of Sarah) are doing. They are taking from the poor and giving to their rich ass ‘friends’. This is all ‘legal’white collar crime justified through the political rhetoric of ‘tough’ decisions for the ‘greater good’ while their pockets are being lined with public money , no questions asked because they know better than everyone else. The City is being boondoggles with their ‘facts’.
ReplyDeleteYup! Sara and Luke fooled all the poverty stricken minorities in Hartford and they could care less as they profit off them and help their own get richer.
DeleteAnd they will do it again to the entire State if given the opportunity. Voters need to wake up to the Bronin’s
Delete@2:57pm. We all know that Luke will never fire you. It's Sarah who has to fire you.
ReplyDeleteShame on all you taxpayers in Hartford and those of us outsiders who subsidize Hartford’s constant bullshit! Just how stupid is it to require department heads to live in the city ,then allow them to maintain TWO residences to skirt around the requirement ? I’ll answer my own question, ITS VERY STUPID! Also, Why do you continue to overpay these sleazeballs ? How else do you think they can afford a second address? Please,,,somebody make it stop! Here’s a good one , Reggie Freeman is gonna be Hartford’s next COO . I don’t know if that’s addition to being Fire Chief and Director of Public Works
ReplyDeleteMoney breeds money. Luke Bronin raised one million dollars to run for Mayor. What amount did Sean Fitzpatrick donate? Elite belong to the T&C Club. A guest is a guest. However, to give T&C 21 Woodland St as a residency is insane. Hartford dirty politics at it's best. Politicians lie, cheat and are dishonest. They do anything to get elected and then hire their friends. The Bronin administration is no different.
ReplyDeleteI can’t wait until Bronin’s monthly call in to the Brad Davis and Dan Lovallo radio show and tell us how great he is and that all this negativity, criminal behavior, incompetence, scheming was passed onto to him from the “ previous” administrations.( I wonder where he learned that BS mantra from?) Then Lovallo and Davis will thank him for his time and dedication to rebuilding Hartford. What a joke! I don’t know what’s funnier that radio shitshow on WDRC or the one on TV’s WFSB with Dennis House and Susan Raff “ Face The State” . Those two make me vomit with their extremely weak questioning of Connecticut’s most destructive politicians. THEY SUCK AND SO DOES THE REST OF THIS STATES MEDIA COVERAGE! Here’s a suggestion to all of Connecticut’s reporters ,,STOP HOBNOBBING AT COCKTAIL PARTIES WITH THE VERY POLITICIANS YOU SHOULD BE HOLDING ACCOUNTABLE ON YOUR SHOWS!!!!
ReplyDeleteI looked up the address on V-Pike, just a long driveway.
ReplyDeleteWent to Google maps & put in the address, try it.
Sean Fitzpatrick's vehicle is registered in Hartford. Maybe Sean sleeps in his Volvo, it's still considered as Hartford residency.
ReplyDeleteWhere are the members of Hartford City Council to investigate Sean P., ask him what his exact residence is. Under oath of course.
ReplyDeleteCity Councilmen are too busy throwing TJ Clarke under the bus. They smell blood. If Bronin is elected Governor, one of them will become mayor.
Delete5:06 PM, none of the remaining 8 Council members is qualified to be a mayor.
DeleteBring Judge Killian if you really care about Hartford.
Sadly, not the way the City Charter works, one of the backstabbers would step in. May God save the City of Hartford from itself
DeleteMay God save the City of Hartford from its corrupt and incompetent "leaders"
DeleteKevin, You really need to start a annual year end review . You’ve exposed more than most can digest and I would love a recap of YOUR favorite infamous highlights. Thanks and Merry Christmas. My wish for you this coming New Year is that you get monetary compensation for all your hard work.
ReplyDeleteThe word is Sean F will resign and run Luke fundraising for Governor.
ReplyDeleteTJ is not stepping down and he shouldn't. There will be a ground swell of support for him. Watch what happens this coming week.
ReplyDeleteBring back Cori Brenson or better Fast Eddie Perez. Better then what we have now.
ReplyDelete6:26PM. HOPEFULLY SEAN F RESIGNATION WILL TAKE PLACE IN 2017. THAT'S ONE MORE WEEK FOR FITZPATRICK.
ReplyDeleteKevin: can I nominate Deller and Fitzpatrick to Hartford Hall of Shame?
ReplyDeleteSean F will resign only if he's guaranteed another job.
ReplyDelete7:32am do it soon, the line is forming quickly
ReplyDeleteSEAN FITZPATRICK - GO, JUST GO.
ReplyDeleteSean Fitzpatrick, give the City of Hartford a nice Christmas gift: RESIGN
DeleteDoes anyone remember one of Luke’s first publicized ‘sacrifices’? He will ‘forgo’ the mayoral pay raise and ‘suggested’ that the Treasurer and other city employees accept such austerity. Now he fills up his ‘friends ‘ pockets at the expense of the LOWER paid City employees.
ReplyDeleteIt must be nice to able to not because you have to but more so because you can. Some suggestive tone and sanctimonious gall ya got there. It must nice to come from WEALTH and PRIVILEGE and move to someplace place in dire straights and call it ‘home’. With all that ‘sacrifice’ you chose coming here, you must be overwhelmed with empathy.
Govern strong, honest and fair for the People and there should be no problem, right? Most of us have YET to see that. Some Democrat....
Keep taking care of your friends and kind and enjoy your sociopathic Mayoral term as a schizophrenic Robin Hood. Keep screwing over the backbone City employees at Safety, DPW and City Hall as you keep fluffing it up for your type. Barely a living wage for the nuts and bolts employees, you figure making health benefit coverage unaffordable for them is a fair balance?! Your mandates will put more people out than in. You will bankrupt city employees! Democrat my a$$!
Get the F&$! outta here Lucas and give it up to Killian. He’s REAL, you are NOT!
Tell us Luke, have you since accepted that raise for the great job you’ve done?
Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Next step - Fitzpatrick's P-card.
ReplyDeleteWho can get us the statements?
Any idea if Sean Fitzpatrick will resign/quit his highly paid Hartford job before he guarantees himself another highly paying job?
ReplyDeleteI guess Hartford is not good enough for this guy, Fitzpatrick, the City he's supposed to develop
ReplyDeleteNobody is going to remember in 2 weeks.... who cares, right? This is the core of the BS we are being fed. Wake up!
ReplyDeleteKevin, Great job with this information regarding Sean. My question is.. why is nothing being done about this? Crickets from Sara and Luke Underwood, oops.. Bronin. This guy must go. The rules are the rules. Also, who is running the city while Luke runs around the state trying to catch up to other candidates? There is no way he is even putting in 3 hours a day at city hall. Who is running the city?
ReplyDelete1:56 PM
DeleteLuke is running for governor, he has no time running the city so I guess Sara is doing his job, this way Hartford residents are getting 2 people for the price of one. What a bargain.
Lots of I hate Bronin on this site. Name a more competent mayor of the city of Hartford in this century. Slid downhill fast when Milner was elected over Eunice Groark. And went on and on. Be careful what you wish for.
ReplyDeleteWith a city investigation underway, Sean M. Fitzpatrick, Hartford's director of development services, said Wednesday he is in compliance with the state's residency rules.
ReplyDeleteThe city's Internal Audit Commission received an anonymous tip as well as information in a "We the People" blog post by Kevin Brookman earlier this month that Fitzpatrick lists his city residency at 22 Woodland St., the location of the social, members-only Town and County Club, said Commission Chairman Bruce Rubenstein.
This is from the Hartford Business Journal. Everybody read Kevin's blog and take it seriously, except Fitzpatrick and Bronin.
Finally, a respected Journal (No, it's NOT the Courant) gives credit to Kevin Brookman. Well deserved, Mr. Brookman!
DeleteEmbers package; free medical for life
ReplyDeleteBetter than the 12 days of Christmas:
14 sick days, 7 vacation, Free medical for life and an overly inflated, salary. No accountability, and a City of Hartford vehicle to drive and free gas.
I can not even keep this on beat.
1:56am
ReplyDeleteAll valid points and is he using his City car and the taxpayers gas to travel the State?
Check his p-card, gas stations etc.

why do so many post as Anonymous?
ReplyDeleteCan't you own up to to your comments
You mean like you did?
ReplyDeleteLmfao, sweet check Kev!
DeleteHere is the proof of maligned intellectual caliber or just downright self righteous denial. Seems a bit like the current admin. It’s a liberal trait.
Hey longtime Hartford resident, this is your conscience speaking, ‘I better proofread and edit before I choose to send.’
May God save Hartford from itself! That shall be Hartford’s new motto.
On the other hand, no wonder the current admins are able to fleece everybody, slick liberals eat slow liberals.
Kev, Congrats on the Vella props to ya. The Courant should cover your mortgage for the year and bless your sources who must protect themselves. I’d bet this admin want them but hey it’s public info after all!
hehe
Fitzpatrick said he is "in compliance." This is great. Let's see what restaurants you dine in. Is it Hartford or Simsbury? Let's see where you fill up gas. Is it Hartford or Simsbury? Let's check the towers used while you're on the phone. Is it Hartford or Simsbury? Let's see mortgage/rental canceled checks. Is it Hartford or Simsbury? Let's see some electric/gas bills. Is it Hartford or Simsbury?
ReplyDeleteYo, 6:28
ReplyDeleteThe Courant did credit Kevin in their story.
"Rubenstein said the commission’s probe into Fitzpatrick was initiated by an anonymous tip to the city’s fraud hotline, a common source for the group’s work. Local blogger Kevin Brookman first called attention to Fitzpatrick listing the club as his address last week."
You're almost as inaccurate as they normally are.

Sean Fitzpatrick claims that he resides in Hartford, Room #6 at 22 Woodland St.
ReplyDeleteWhat the rental rate for room #6. Are there any clothes hanging there that fit Fitzpatrick.
State of Connecticut requires that any change of address must be updated with DMV.
ReplyDeletewww.hartford.gov website is currently not working.
ReplyDeleteIs it related somehow to the Fitzpatrick affair?
Are any of you surprised that Sara Bronin is member of the Club?
ReplyDeleteNot at all. Crooked Sara obviously coached Fitzpatrick to use this address to defraud the city of Hartford. The Bronin’s really need to go!
DeleteWhere will the Bronins go, to the Governor's mansion?
DeleteCrooked Sara!! Hahaha....that’s so accurate and fitting!!! Check her emails Kevin!!!!
DeleteAlso note that he left the box for “I do not live in the City of Hartford” on his residency form is not checked suggesting that he does live in Hartford which he clearly does not.
ReplyDelete@11:09
ReplyDeleteNo. It's an exclusive club. I get it. Perhaps she was the one to suggest this as a residency. My only pause is, why would she open herself to this controversy? She is trained as an attorney. One would think she wouldn't put herself in this position.
@ 9:58
DeleteWhy Not Sara? Attorneys don't lie?
Oh please. Crooked attorneys, crooked politicians, they’re a dime a freaking dozen, and they’re much worse with their senses of entitlement. Dam skippy Crooked Sara is involved.
DeleteRubenstein's investigation shouldn't take long. Just order Fitzpatrick to produce any document that shows that he's Hartford resident, real resident, not baloney. Cancelled checks for rental room no. 6 and the small "next door kitchen" in the past two years is more than enough.
ReplyDeleteLuke, Sara, Sean, Candace: who has got blood on his or her hands in this Fitzpatrickgate. Who knew what and when.
ReplyDeleteWaiting to hear from you, Mr. Rubenstein.
I like this title: Fitzpatrickgate.
DeleteHappy Fitzpatrick year to you all.
If Donald J. Trump was our mayor he would have told this to Sean M. Fitzpatrick: YOU ARE FIRED.
DeleteWhy no comments from the "private Woman's Club"- his wife is some officer there- will they verify that he actually slept and spent time in the room that was offered at such a reduced price? Seems like they're in on the fraud.
ReplyDeleteCan we get the ENTIRE list if women who're running the club?
ReplyDeleteThese women should get a subpoena and testify. Under oath, of course.
The whole Fitzpatrick affair smells bad, really really bad.
ReplyDeleteCandace Fitzpatrick is the VP of Personnel for the Club and as such any staff had to go along with this ruse or risk losing their job, including the Manager who is actually an employee not a member of the Club unlike all of the officers. This fraud was agreed to by the Executive Committee of the Club. Simply interview the cleaning staff, they will verify that he never spent one night there. Mr Fitzpatrick was given 6 months to comply with the Hartford residency rule and continued to defraud the city for a year and a half. They could have rented out their Simsbury home and rented in Hartford if necessary to accommodate that rule. He knew this when he took the position but clearly they thought they could get over. What about his car insurance? Did he commit insurance fraud by claiming that he only commuted a short distance to work rather than the trek over Avon Mountain?
ReplyDeleteExcellent report @ 5:35pm, great observation. He probably never tipped the cleaning staff since he never lived There, as you say.
ReplyDeleteFitzpatrick doesn't want to live in Hartford he just want to make money out of Hartford
ReplyDeleteIs Bruce Rubenstein watching? Does he read this blog? Could Mr. Rubenstein give Hartford residents an update on the investigation?
ReplyDelete4:01am
ReplyDeleteI am fairly confident Mr. Rubenstein is watching and listening. I doubt there will be any updates until the matter is fully investigated and presented to the Audit Commission for their eventual action.
Mr FitzPatrick has sub-leased his unit to Cynthia Jennings and Bill DiBella for those nights when he isnt in Hartford...
ReplyDelete12:25pm
ReplyDeleteSean Fitzpatrick
Cynthia Jennings
Bill DiBella
One big happy family.
HAPPY family? Looks more like CORRUPT family to me
DeleteTHAT'S RIGHT, NOT-A-HARTFORD RESIDENT FITZPATRICK, NOT-A-HARTFORD RESIDENT JENNINGS AND NOT-A-HARTFORD RESIDENT DIBELLA. THEY ALL THINK WE'RE STUPID.
Delete12:28
ReplyDeleteWe are stupid because we allow them to do it to us and get away with it, and then we keep electing the same people who show their willingness to screw us over for their personal benefit
