Several sources familiar with the Robles case have confirmed that the former Hartford Police Officer and 6th District State representatives case will probably come to an end tomorrow after he makes an appearance in Hartford Superior Court. It is believed that Robles will be granted a special form of probation available to first time offenders known as "Accelerated Rehabilitation"..
Under the program, Robles would not have to admit his guilt, but would avoid a trial on his criminal charges and receive a period of probation imposed by the court. After the period of probation is completed, the charges would be erased from Robles's record.
According to sources, several conditions will be imposed on Robles by the court, including that he agree not to try to re-gain his position as a Hartford Police Officer and not to seek employment as a police officer in the future, not to run for public office for a period said to be five years and finally make full restitution to the City of Hartford for the amount that he is charged with stealing from the City of Hartford through his time card fraud scheme.
This court action will end Robles's arrest that has wound its way through the courts over the last couple years and resulted in Robles's political loss to incoming State Representative Edwin Vargas who will be sworn in this week as Hartford's new 6th District Representative.
In an ironic twist, the same investigator who had applied for Robles's arrest on charges of time card fraud and abuse has now this past week become the subject of a Hartford Police Internal Affairs investigation into similar charges of his own.

There is no comparison to Robles and Mike Manson. To even compare the two is a disservice to this department. Robles was a flat out crook who ripped off this department and was/is disgrace. That he was elected to any public office is a shame and a truely poor reflection on the community. Robles would leave his car without notifying supervisors leaving his patrol area uncovered. A/R is a sham, but a least it will keep him off the job.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone on the third floor give a rats you know what that the parking for patrol officers personal vehicles at the new PD is a joke. Gravel, unleveled, a fence that even Unit 402 Lord Farquart (Shrek) could easily hurdle while every other rank or position is taken care of.
ReplyDeleteHey Rovella, patrol is the back bone of the department huh, well you really know how to show it. Patrol under your command is as always. Patrol gets the shaft, always. By the way, heard the chiefs complex has a personal shower, hot tub, and sauna for the stress the chief is(n't) gonna have.
pj muppet movie klank should become a pj donor instead of taking all the pjs away from ofcs. I hope he makes another 160k this year.......must be nice to get that last minute call and then just change your work schedul, like robles and get away with it..................and by the way i make copies of all hire sheets, and spoken with several cl and p supervisors who say he shows up and leaves the job.....must be nice.......
ReplyDeleteI would leave my name, but im sure i would be blackballed by him and his puppet master scar....
ReplyDeletethat new gate at high street is as slow as d/c hightower at getin outta the take home car.... what a joke, you really expect 150 patrol officers to load and unload cruisers in an alley ???? wide open about 50 ft from albany ave ??? i hope my pov gets vandalized, so i can sue the city for failing to provide proper safe working conditions, and it will be funny how many 32s are pulled for slips in the gravel........................
ReplyDeleteSo how is it that the ert team cant have a relaxing liquid beverage off duty and a certain new mayor security guard gets to drink on duty and drive around dui??????????i guess different strokes for different folks....i thought there was a general order about alcohol and firearms, but i guess those black tints will hide it all.....while you drive to city hall like a little kid to candy............
ReplyDeleteI am really so sick of hearing you babies cry on this blog!!
ReplyDeleteAnonymous @ 10:59am....what the hell is right!! Somewhat agreed on everything you said, but lets keep it real. Paul West was demoted, he took the test again and came out very high. He has the right to be promoted again, if he messes up again, thats on him. Give him the chance he deserves whether you like him or not. Yes, Hightower has always treated people like shit, agreed, give that big mouth the respect he's earned amongst the rank and file, that being none whatsoever.
Long....your going back to the academy? Really?
Klin.....cant dispute that.
Anonymous@11:07am....lets not forget that this new garbage PD was built and designed under the worst chief we have ever seen, that being Daryl Keith Roberts, he single handedly destroyed HPD and the new PD. Dont forget all the cuts made under Eddie Perez, one floor completely cut and the parking garage that was to be for all of patrol was cut. Your really gonna site here and blame Rovella for this? Are you that stupid or just ignorant? Do you realize the original parking for patrol was on Main Street between Pleasant St and Trumbull St and Rovella said he refuses to have officers walking that far. Thank Roberts you turd! You dont think Rovella doesnt know the back bone of the department is patrol? Roberts designed the chiefs suite with showers, hot tubs and whatever else. If you knew anything about Rovella, which you obviously dont, he'd have his office in a closet and be happy.
Did you forget Jaffe's role? How about how these losers that were never cops cut the patrol roll call room, yet the EOC would fit a small army!!! Dont forget the turds that made this PD a disaster for all the wrong reasons and all the wrong people. Go look at what Jaffe did for communications and their locker room and showers etc!!! Guy, do some research before you run off at your mouth. You see for yourself if Rovella has roll call for patrol in the current room (or closet) designated that Roberts and Jaffe had intended you to be in.
Do me a favor, go ask Mark Manson or Vinny Benvenuto what its like to work for another department. You ask around any officer in the area and i'll guarantee they want to be a Hartford Cop. Have a little pride. And yes, this year the entire patrol fleet should be replaced by new black and white cars as im sure thats the next thing you'll cry about! And yes, we ALL got it jammed up our ass with this debaco of a new PD, but what the blame where it belongs!!!!
I bet mulroy and uncle jaffe have enclosed spots with butlers and maids to clean up their offices, while patrol parks in a gravel lot with no security. wait till a firearm is stolen from a car , then maybe some changes will happen, just like the smelly locker room, 2 weeks and no cleaning of any type, this dept is truely inempt, i had such high hopes for change, but i guess only a few get to drink wine while the rest of us drinksea water........
ReplyDeletethey are going to make tele serve personnel patrol the gravel lot and for an extra dollar, auciello will park your vehicle and check your tire pressure. that fence looks like 402 can hurdle it and put another two medals on his awards list .....
ReplyDeletethat fence is a joke, really, a three foot fence with openings? and that lot wont fit all of patrol anyways. so where are we suppose to park? how bout the civic center garage or the meadows lots.....morale is low again..
ReplyDeletenew britain pd will be licking their chops if htfd lets go of some officers.
ReplyDeleteRoberts was not that bad, he never messed with the overtime and this change of assignment for conditions nonsense. Also the continued disappearing city pjs that are now covered by csos and conditions. Roberts only messed with people that really pushed the envelope, like not showing up for three monthes, and dancing on table tops....the worst is yet to come, all these here that live beyond their means better learn to live on their base pay.....except for klank and his crew, that wiil continue to commit fraud and illegal hires ..
ReplyDeletei have to agree, morale is at an all time low. Its depressing just going to work seeing unqualified people walking around with gold colored badges or stripes on their sleeves. How is it that the dumbest people i have ever met in my life have titles of detective or supervisor. I cant wait to trip and fall in that farm field they call a parking lot across from the PD...I will sue the city up the keister and rename the parking lot i will undoubedly own in my great honor.....oh by the way the parking rate will be $ 8 a day....you can all pay me in advance and i will give LE discount.....lol
ReplyDeleteRoberts sucked and Rovella sucks. I'm waiting for the No Confidence Vote so I can cast my ballot. He's no better than any of the last few chiefs we've had. He's taking care of his buddies and everyone else is left fighting for crumbs. Why would any new chief claiming that "a new day is coming" hire 5 new deputy chiefs without granting everyone who was eligible an interview? Seems kinda fishy don'tcha think? There's plenty of viable candidates that weren't even extended the courtesy. At least do what's always been done grant the interviews and then appoint your boys anyway. At least you can give the impression of the "new day" even though it's a phony impression. Well sources are saying that City Hall is not to pleased with Jimmy so let's just see how this plays out because after the Roberts fiasco, Big Brother at 550 is taking a more hands-on approach. Hallelujah!
ReplyDeleteSo i guess city hall expects the rank in file to park in an unprotected gravel lot. My attorney advised me to take pics, so when my ride gets vandalised, and my burner stolen, the city will be at fault.
ReplyDeleteThe gravel lot can only hold about sixty cars, so where do the rest park? on the street, or albany ave? thats safe for us. Im glad that the mayor and city hall think highly about the ofc that put their lives around in this crappy city........maybe len bestoff should do a story on this major officer safety issue???????????
ReplyDeleteMorale is low in the fire and polce dept. but the question is, does anyone really car? probably not. City hall cares about themselves, and plumpin those pensions and free meals. This city needs an overhaul by the federal government.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Len Bestoff should do a story on it. Do you think people’s opinion will reflect the “Major Officer’s Safety Issue” of having to walk across a gravel lot? Do you actually think the general public will agree???!!! Or do you think we will be looked at like a bunch of whiners, crybaby cops who are afraid to walk 30 yards to the front door of the station. Do you think people will wonder how good of a police force we have if we are afraid to park directly in front of the PSC? How will the citizens react when they hear we have to park in a fenced in lot, when they have to park in the street or pay to park? How will every other person who works in this city feel about our parking plight, when every other person who works in this city has to pay to park just to go to work? I hope there is some investigative reporting done, read the comments and see how we look. hear we have to park in a fenced in lot, when they have to park in the street or pay to park? How will the tens of thousands of people feel who have to pay for their parking everyday to go to work? I hope there is some investigative reporting done, read the comments and see how we look.
ReplyDelete^^that being said, the city did do a horrible job planning the parking. Whoever is responsible should be identified and held accountable. Also, the lot should have been paved, the fence should have been taller and lighting and a cross walk would be nice. The city knew of this parking shortage for years. It should have been fixed. Thing is, Len Bestoff aint gonna get it fixed. We are just going to look like babies in the publics eye. We (the union) needs to take it to city hall and get some answers.
ReplyDeleteWell First off, i did read the courant articel concerning the lot issues. First off, there are no street lights anywhere around that lot, or on high street. I don't where city hall gets their information from, a cracker jack box? Second, there is no crosswalk or any type of spped bumps in place to slow vehicles on High street. So when an officer gets hit crossing the street, it will be a mighty big pay out. This is not the police dept's problem, it is the city's problem. Safety is definately not first. And you know what, some members of the command staff want to call some officers cry babies, but that garage is mighty nice and I only see one of the true leaders of this dept parking with the troops. 903 is a true leader.. Not staring in a mirror at himself.
ReplyDeleteWhy build a fence that is four feet high? really, City Hall must have thought this was charlie and the chocalate factory........
How about hiring a PJ cop to gurad the vehicles, ohh but I thought, the budget is already so stretched, with the mayor's bodyguards, and the dozens of completely incompetent employees such as jaffee. The area is a dump, gang graffiti all over the buildings, and wait till the summer with all the drunk arrested downtown college kids ,,,,but a nice unlevel gravel lot is what the city thinks for the men and women who keep them safe.
ReplyDeleteSo what about the htfd police detective that ran over a piece of brab wire with his personnel vehicle in that gravel lot? and the suspicious car filled with illegals that claimed to be contractors on 1-28 at 12 noon? and the flat tires from last week? Im sure the city will cover all the damages. This is a complete embarassment.
ReplyDeleteWhy are the requirements for receiving PERF (Chief's Training)more stringent then becoming an actual chief???
