As Hartford tries to encourage more downtown residency, this video shows three Hartford juveniles stalking an elderly person on Farmington Avenue before knocking her to the ground and mugging her. The video is pretty chilling as they stalk her in preparation for their mugging, like hunter's stalk their prey.
This is not a police problem. Let me repeat that...this violence is not a police problem. We can not rely on the police to arrest our way out of our societal problems.
THIS IS A PARENTING PROBLEM. What does an incident like this say about the values instilled in Hartford's young people. Is there such little regard for human life that these 3 young punks think nothing of knocking an elderly woman to the ground, beating her and then robbing her.
Hartford... we have a problem.
F@cking animals
ReplyDeletePIGS, THAT'S WHAT THEY ARE, PIGS. DIRTY, STINKY PIGS.
DeleteIt makes me want to move to Hartford and enjoy a nice evening walk through Asylum Hill
ReplyDeleteAt least these thugs weren't packing guns, could have very easily been #31 "Hartford Has It"
ReplyDeleteThere seems to be a trend nowadays to always blame the parents. Personally, I know that parents are not always to blame. A child can be raised in the best home, with the best religious education, to churchgoing parents, who own their home, are good citizens, provide proper moral lessons, and they still go bad. Peer pressure, drug use and mental illness can also play a HUGE part in these types of situations. Let's not be so quick to blame the parents. Some kids just go bad and/or are losers. I say this from personal knowledge. For that reason it bothers me every time I see parents being blamed. I would venture to guess that the individuals' parents in this video would have a very negative reaction to knowing their kids did this. Either way you look at it, it's heartbreaking from a parental standpoint.
ReplyDeleteKevin -- Can you please update what HPD is doing on this? It was possible to see some portions of faces on the video. Perhaps HPD could work with school-based officers who might recognize one of them? Let's get this solved and get these kids before a SERIOUS judge. Reminds me of when Eddie Hagenbach was attacked. Disgusting. Again, please update us with what you can. TX
ReplyDeleteThis a poverty issue atleast she going home these kids aren't as bad as Adam Lanza anonymous there was no (Animal) in history worse than Vlad Teppes!!
ReplyDeleteThose security cameras worked out real well. Park Street is loaded with those cameras. People should feel really safe... NOT!
ReplyDeleteKevin: who was operating the camera that follows this whole scene from start to finish? Seems quite strange that the camera operator knew from the moment the woman appears from the corner of the building, to train his/her camera on a mere pedestrian and follow her as she merely walks down a street, and lo and behold, he/she captures a mugging from beginning to end? Without more, I'm not buying it as real.
ReplyDeleteAlyssa: the cameraman/woman had the best view - hell, he/she somehow knew to follow the whole incident right from the start of the video - how would someone know to do that? View it again and see how the camera purposefully focuses on and picks up the woman as she rounds the building, then the camera follows this otherwise uneventful woman walking down a street and continues focusing and following her as she ultimately gets "mugged"- ask yourself what kind of security camera could ever do that? seems fake to me.
ReplyDeleteAlyssa, all three were caught. They are also responsible for a carjacking robbery at the same location. And get these kids before a SERIOUS judge? Are you for real? The juvenile court system is a joke, absolutely NOTHING will happen. And your governor wants to raise the juvenile age to twenty!!!! Good luck with that!
ReplyDeleteThese types of savage attacks on the elderly are common by young males in the community. Check out Colin Flaherty YouTube Channel.

ReplyDeleteSorry for leaving out a key component. This video and the end result was the work of a very alert security guard manning the cameras in a control room and some great communications between him/her and HPD. After realizing something was going on he/she followed the action on the camera and notified the Dispatch center. There were numerous police resources in the area looking for a shooting suspect.Members of the Shooting Task Force and Patrol, located the 3 suspects running through back yards on Huntington and Sumner St, set up a perimeter and arrested all 3. Great work by all involved
Citizens arm yourselfs!!!!!!! No one else is going to protect you! We as cops will do the best we can to help protect you but we can not be everywhere at once!! Get a pistol permit and train, train hard like your life depends on it because it does!!!! The next time someone comes to hurt you as an innocent person minding your own business put a couple rounds of +p+ fight stoppers into them! Enough is enough!!! You want to be animals??? Hurt your fellow man? And a helpless old woman to boot? They better thank their lucky stars that I didn't witness it because their parents would be the ones grieving at some memorial!! I'll treat you like an animal and put you down like one!!!
ReplyDeletewhy is everyone anonomous?

ReplyDeleteJohn, Anonymous was a popular name parents gave their newborns once upon a time. Just like Nancy, Brea, Cortez and Tad.
ReplyDeleteJohn... lots of city and state employees read and comment on this blog. With the erosion of first and second amendment rights under the present administration combined with the Obamas brand of cultural Marxism (pc correctness bull), retribution at the workplace of the commentators is a certainty. First they control your means of production, then they make you poor, then they silence you, then they take your guns, then they kill you. This is socialism.

ReplyDeleteYou sound like someone from Arizona. I just returned from Arizona. A lot of people were walking around with guns on their hips. They like playing old west characters- maybe not unlike you. They have a lot of paranoia. They are grouchy, mostly Caucasian. They probably feel that their majority status is gradually becoming a minority. They stay glued to the boob tube of Fox-bot unnews. Probably listen to AM talk radio and read Bretbart. They and you are confused by the modern world. Look for a return to a simple time - perhaps are searching for the original Santa Clause and the Easter Bunny.
Ya, baby...
@6:24 Right. Arizona, unlike the liberal mecca's of Detroit, Chicago and DC. Your diabolical plans of racial genocide are working nicely. Draconian gun restrictions and Planned Parenthood have killed more people than all of the law abiding gun owners in Arizona. As a matter of fact, Ted Kennedy's car killed more people than their guns.
ReplyDeleteI think the proper application of Saudi law would be appropriate for these guys. Rather than chopping of their hands, I say saw it of. No anesthesia by the way.

ReplyDeleteWe might have a lot of people without hands, especially if we applied it to those carrying guns also
