The audio isn't the best, but listen closely and you can hear the Hartford Internal Audit Commission discuss the lapse of Property insurance on the Yardgoat's stadium.

Where is Erin Stewart? She's laughing all the way to the bank.
The developer did an awful job with the planning and getting the project done on time but I think it was a terrible decision to fire the developer this late in the process. Just accept the ballpark will be done in 60 days and get the ballpark done. Instead no one is working on it, no baseball will be played in Hartford this year and City has to fend off a lawsuit from the developers (dont know specifics if it has merit or not but still have to pay legal fees).
I would rather have had Bronin and the that dumb Stadium Commission tell the developer: You say you can have the project done by this date. Get it done by then. We will have someone checking progress daily to see that you will have this done by that date. The city is not covering any budget overrun costs. This is on you to get it done by then.
Maybe Bob Killian should open an exploratory committee to weigh running for mayor again. By then, the city should at least be entering state take over. And given the choice between state takeover, hell or Bob Killian, this time, we might choose Bob Killian.
THE OPINIONS EXPRESSED ON THIS BLOG ARE STRICTLY THAT, MY OPINIONS.After getting fed up with the lack of openness in Hartford City Hall, I decided to begin a program on Hartford Public Access Television called "WE THE PEOPLE". Through tips received we have been able to expose numerous issues that the Perez Administration would prefer to keep quiet.
Any information received is kept in strict confidence, feel free to e-mail me at krbrookman@earthlink.net or call me at 860-883-2297 with any information.

I think mayor Stewart is above that. There is no need for her to revel in our ignorance and incompetence, she clearly came out on top
Ok, soooooooo, can I sell the city some insurance? Ho, boy. It's a mess. Do we party like it's 1999?
I visited the New Britain Bees last week. Great fun, great experience for the entire family.
