1:48 PM, you may be correct, who knows. This is an opportunity for Mayor Bronin to get out in front of his critics and do the right thing. In the current climate of police accountability, or any time for that matter, Police leadership beyond reproach is imperative to maintain the publics trust and confidence. Anyone involved in an alleged coverup or whatever we are going to call it needs to be gone. They have no value to the City of Hartford if they can't be trusted. That includes Chief Thody,Assistant Chief Medina, and Lt. Bowsza Mayor Bronin needs to be asking some serious questions of the Chief Operating Officer Thea Montanez and her relationship with Chief Thody, enough said for now.
So let me get this straight. Bowsza falsifies an official city document and clearly documents “Connecticut state police was immediately notified, but declined to respond or provide a case number.” All under the pretense that nothing will ever come of it. Why was the time left blank? Was Thody too intoxicated to remember? Then Brookman gets on the case and ooooops, it’s just a simple error? I don’t think so. It only became an error after he was caught in a lie after the state police checked all call logs and saw that he never called. That is falsifying an official document, clearly a violation of CT state statute. Evading the scene of an accident and failure to report it is also evading the scene of an accident, also clearly a violation of CT state statute. So because Thody is a chief he’s exempt? Meanwhile, late night last night Thody and a certain high ranking chief were in the chiefs complex concocting a further cover up back dating phony IAD investigations like it’s regular course of business. These other few involved in attempted cover ups should really be careful. This has the potential to get very messy. The others involved know exactly who they are, and so do others. Amazing your so willing to lie and participate in cover ups yet expect respect from the troops and hold us to high standards. Stay on this Brookman.
In the NBC CT article: Thody reported to Medina that the guardrail did not have any damage, but did have paint transfer, city officials said.
"Chief Thody stated he did not report the incident to Connecticut State Police because there was no damage to the guardrail, minor damage to his vehicle, and that the situation in Hartford was priority over waiting for a trooper to arrive, especially given the fact that he was aware that the State Police were blocking highways due to protests across the state," according to the city report.
In the report, Medina wrote, "Chief Thody stated that, in his judgement, the assessed damage did not meet the $1,000.00 threshold for an accident report to begin with."
Seems like Medina pulled out all his trooper knowledge to cover Thody. Other than lying, how would have Thody have ever known of the damage or paint transfer to the guardrail if he never stopped? Answer= he wouldn’t. Never mind the damage to the Tahoe. What time did the BLM protest end? That’s documented. How and why was Thody all over the road prior to crashing? You mean to tell me from texting? Yah, ok. Stinks to high heaven!
The wild card still hasn’t been revealed. The one thing Thody never expected in his tangle of lies and deception. His associates involved in the deceit and deception should be very concerned. Stay tuned.
THE OPINIONS EXPRESSED ON THIS BLOG ARE STRICTLY THAT, MY OPINIONS.After getting fed up with the lack of openness in Hartford City Hall, I decided to begin a program on Hartford Public Access Television called "WE THE PEOPLE". Through tips received we have been able to expose numerous issues that the Perez Administration would prefer to keep quiet.
Any information received is kept in strict confidence, feel free to e-mail me at krbrookman@earthlink.net or call me at 860-883-2297 with any information.

An error? How the hell do you write something like that in a report as an error? BS big time.
it is probably easy if you have been doing it for years to cover their dirty deeds. This time they never thought someone would be paying attention
Yup, they do it all the time! Just imagine what they do when there’s a legitimate complaint against one of their friends.
Lying on a Police Report
That is Grounds for IMMEDIATE TERMINATION.
What WILL MAYOR BRONAN DO?
I KNOW IF A BLACK POLICE CHIEF LIED ON A REPORT
HE WOULD BE FIRED IMMEDIATELY.

1:27am , Soon, it will be when the time is right, let them dig the hole a little deeper
Medina investigated Thody a year ago for lying under oath.
Yet Thody was cleared.
I see a pattern of lies and deception here.
Does HPD automatically pay for NY tolls or is that submitted monthly asking for a friend
