NOW THIS IS PARKING ENFORCEMENT

Apparently the Mayor of Vilnius, Lithuania was upset by the chronic parking violations blocking the City's bike lanes. He took matters into his own hands, accompanied by the driver of an armored personnel carrier, and sent a message to the illegal parkers. (double click on the video to watch it full screen)

This might send a good message in Hartford, but I'm not sure HPD could afford the lost cruisers.

Now that's what I'm talking about, go Lithuania. Oh, if only we had half that amount of political courage in Hartford.

CT is full of Liberal Bums! Let's empower the criminals then complain about crime going up. REALLY?

Kevin, please look into the most recent HPD union elections and find out why several non-African Americans were not allowed to vote. I know you're into exposing dirty politics...well this stinks to high heaven and I would love to see what kind of cock and bull excuse Director Jaffee and his cohorts give you. Thanks

can you e-mail any specifics. Jaffe has nothing to do with the HPD Union, did you mean the 911 Dispatch Center workers?

Yes. That's exactly what I mean. Jaffee may not have nothing to do with the union but he has everything to do with the near assault of one of its members in front of headquorters by one of his supervisors. Enough is enough! It's a hostile work environment and something has to be done. Thank u in adavance

At least the City in Lithuania has a bike lane that offers less risk exposure to the rider than in Hartford. With the plentitude of uninsured motorists, unregistered vehicles and their drivers who do not have a legit drivers license, who wants to ride a bike (in Hartford) between a parking lane and the traffic lane?
