If you istened to yhe video, you heard as i did Campbell justifying a person voluntaring.to pay isshould satisfy and end it. Everyone on the Mayor's administration, know Campbell runs everything by the Mayor before releasing it. That's the investigation, that's how they hide and lie and change reports. Ask under oath the Cabinent and Department Heads if the Mayor and Pat reviews reports with them and if at Department Head meetings are they discussed and if Campbell is present to explain? Bruce needs to as he said talk to the States Attorney, they will find coruption in this Audit process for sure.

And as to the Emergency fund use talj to procurement about the proper, extensive procesz and supporting documents needed to make payment.

What corrupted this audit process is the auditors asked corporation counsel for an opinion and corporation counsel went and talked to the mayor, spun and framed the issue for the press to put it in the best light possible and made a mockery of the audit committee's ability to investigate.

The auditors are not blameless in that outcome. They must have known asking corporation counsel for an opinion before conducting their investigation would taint the investigation. Sandy sees her job as protecting the mayor. Period.

They all know better than this. If they wanted the truth they would have investigated and questioned the mayor before giving Sandy a chance to send out the alerts.

Yes bad decisions are unfortunately the hallmark of this administration. How many more audits do we need to have to figure that out? This is like beating the dead cat. It might make you feel better...but is it helping? If we cut out wasteful spending, how much do we think we can save? Not going to nickel and dime our way out of this problem. Not saying that it makes it ok as I agree with all of you here that its pretty pathetic. The only thing I am saying is ...lets focus on the bigger issues...out of control pensions, too much staff and overhead. No ideas for growing the tax base. No economic development plan. No plans period. And yet with all of these big issues we continue to focus on who authorized who to pay or reimburse this 3000. Gee how much did it cost us in IA time, corp counsel, coo, cos, finance, budget and the like to investigation for 3000? Probably all that time spent cost more to than the cost of five funerals. Sorry folks this one is the small sighted infighting we can no longer afford.

The real audit is a legal one on how the Office of Internal Audit and Corporation Counsel is suppose to function... they both are suppose to be independent from the Mayor, they are check and balances. If you have corupt Mayor like we do, who is to audit him or provide legal oversight, how is Corporation Counsel SKB on his "cabinet", how does Campbell go over audit reports before released? Can you spell C-O-N-F-L-I-C-T. Bruce you need to get this resolved and don't trust Campbell, he is in the Mayor's pocket. The only two reporting coruption in the video is you and Craig, Campbell was providing. Excuses of justification for Pedro and Sandy, as he said "i just want to point that out" really Campbell try and put up a front of integrity!
