D-I-S-R-E-S-P-E-C-T IN THE KINGDOM OF LUKE

It has been a while since I have linked to Jeff Cohen from WNPR, but here is a  story Jeff uncovered. I think it shows the disrespect for the will of the menial subordinates in the Kingdom of Luke.

 With actions like this by Mayor Bronin,after many hours given by a volunteer  search committee ,is it any wonder the Hartford Schools have made such flawed choices in Superintendent searches for many years ?

You can read Jeff's story by clicking the link below:

Mayor Bronin; Congratulations to the new Board of Education Chair, Craig Stallings. Craig Stallings? Really, the racist cop hater extraordinaire?!?!? Check his Facebook out to see what a racist he really is. This city is completely doomed.

I just dont understand how the mayor could do this. I currently have three children enrolled in Hartford public schools and with everything going on in our schools how and why should we feel confident with anybody from the board of ed. Constantly fighting parents and making the process harder for parents. The saddest thing of all is that the current 72 page oca report shows and proves the children and parents did exactly what they were suppose to do! The board of ed failed us and now they ask for our trust! You want parents trust then remove every single board member and give us as parents and our children a new board so we can have faith and believe actual change is here! Bona fide residents of Hartford demand change not just a band aid on a serious problem

I guess I am missing something, I went through Craig's Facebook page for the last several months and I didn't see anything racist. Honesty is not racist, even though it might make some uncomfortable

11:09 agree. Nothing racist there. Oy.

6:13pm did I miss something or is it racist? I am asking seriously

Well, let me make a "racist" prediction. Why? Because everyone else does too. I predict the next Super will be primarily based on ethnicity. Politics reins supreme. Hey, maybe our next elected mayor will make it three of three of the same caliber. Si senior?

Kevin, if I may answer your question. We all come to out tables with a degree of bias. One person's perception is not another. I didn't find anything of a racist nature unless the poster thinks that all Caucasians are by nature, racist. There are quite a few people that carry that attitude. It challenges us to maintain our good qualities in the face of unfair acqusations.

It happens when you least expect it. It always does on both sides.

Is the Board of Ed Chair a paid position?
If so, how much?

No, it is strictly volunteer, but it does require a large time commitment. Only the City Council members are paid

Then they are way off base because Craig is not caucasian,not that that makes any difference and you don't have to be caucasian to be a racist. But again, I didn't see anything that appeared racist to me. Racist is any easy charge to throw around but wheres the proof.

@6:53

If he is not Caucasian, then what is he? Martian? Could be.
