Wasn't Jason Thody dismissed from the rank of Lieutenant on April 30, 2010?

9:43am you are correct, Thody was demoted over an off duty incident back to Sergeant in 2010. He then went back to prove himself and rose to the rank of Captain before retiring. Due to his expertise in policy and procedures and establishing professional standards for HPD, Chief Rosado saw the value in bringing him back as part of the Command Staff team he is building as an Assistant Chief. I think Chief Rosado saw Chief Thody's value to the organization rather than losing him to somewhere else.

Hey Kevin you should also write who's getting promoted to LT and Capt in the fire department so we can see all the useless sh**bags getting promoted. I believe the promotion is this week or next week.

I think we all know that the current administration will not back its officers. After some of the local denizens complained that an off duty officer was at their community meeting recently, did Rosado publicly back the officer and say that he has every right to be there and encourage more officers to get involved? I think not. Maybe he and Medina will do what they did most of the time while at CSP - hide behind their desks. Tough on discipline huh, that's coming from a couple of guys who never answered one Hartford call, never had to tussle with a guy on PCP, or had to endure a deluge of insults and berating while just during their jobs. How much could you really expect from a Bronin pick?

Rosado has answered numerous Hartford calls and was assigned to a Hartford uniformed police initiative detail, I believe “True North” possibly. I was partnered with Rosado on several occasions and he absolutely did get involved in quite a battle with a drug dealer that was actively fighting to resist arrest. Rosado ended the battle appropriately. However, I can not speak for his actions as of now as the chief. Rosado, as any other chief, was appointed by the mayor, so unfortunately that will obviously dictate some of his actions. The bottom line is we all know mayor Bronin absolutely sucks and does not back police at all. Anger and discouragement should really be directed towards the anti police mayor. I can say I do know Rosado will stand for what’s right and you will NEVER ever see him marching with anti police protesters!!!
