On 8/5/19 at 1158 hours, Hartford Police responded the area of 404 Hillside Avenue on a report of an evading motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian. Upon arrival, a female victim was located in the roadway suffering from severe injuries. The victim was transported to Hartford Hospital where she ultimately succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at 1349 hours. The victim is believed to be a 55 year old Hartford woman. Her identity is being withheld pending Next of Kin notification.
The evading vehicle has not been located at this time.
Detectives from the Hartford Police Crime Scene Division responded to the scene and assumed control of the investigation. Investigation is ongoing.

Did NYPD teach Vinnie anything? I heard him screaming on the radio from Rocky Hill at the latest critical incident. The new norm. The SA in Tolland heard him from his office on the night of the OIS!
So I am told, very graphic as I understand the woman going through the air and landing head first eventually causing her death. I have seen the North Main Street video, I am waiting for permission to post it so as not to compromise anything HPD has going on with it. It is amazing no one died in that incident or people o0n the street shot. Total lawlessness.

I don't think I would call it screaming, but he was less calm and collected than I would expect. But in his defense, luckily we don't have an OIS everyday , especially with a fatality, when you are trying to make sure that it is critical that everything be done correctly. Luckily he had other well trained supervisors and even a Patrol Officer who stepped up and took charge also. I think everyone has goosebumps and adrenaline during these situations, I know I did and I wasn't even there

I agree with your sentiment, although I don't really agree with your description of Henry. I wish there were more churches and clergy doing work on the streets to prevent these killings. Henry's work is all done after the fact and a little too late to save anyone, but he does serve a role in keeping attention on the problem.
I disagreed with Henry on holding a vigil for someone that would have shot and tried to kill Police officers if he was a little quicker. Henry explained to me he would hold a vigil "If the family wanted it" Henry said any loss of life is tragic. I agree but I also told Henry , if I had the choice of seeing a criminal trying to shoot cops dead in the street or a Police officer lying there, I choose the bad guy. And why are we so concerned about what the family wants? Whether or editing the body cam footage "for the family"
