Today, it's a Courant's report of the Audit Commission findings: "HARTFORD STRUGGLES TO COLLECT HOUSING LOANS" as the headline reads.
We're talking millions of dollars here. Many millions. Money the city needs badly.
What does Segarra and Maribel say? No comment so far. What's Segarra going to say, the he's an idiot?

Anonymous said...: It's exactly like the case with the Hartford21 failed supernarjet: Segarra gave Mr. & Mrs. Jones $400,000 or $450,000 as a loan and NEVER COLLECTED EVEN ONE DIME FROM THEM.
Then Segarra has the nerve to give the property behind 95 Park St. to SAMA for $1 and SAMA sells it and benefiting itself THE FOLLOWING DAY for more than 1/2 millions dollars. That's the Segarra way, corruption and incompetence all the way.; March 19, 2015 at 11:37 AM

Brian C. Mathews, director of the Hartford Housing Division, said Wednesday that the city wasn't required to repay any of the money to HUD, and didn't.
