Claudia Flores, co-owner of 704 Meat Center, Inc. located at 704 Park St. in Hartford (but she resides in West Hartford) contributed the maximum amount allowed to Segarra's campaign (page 3 of 17). We hope 704 Park St. started paying property taxes to the city.
Segarra's campaign hiring and paying for consultants OUT of Hartford, that could be EASILY done with locals: * Patrick Romano of DNA Campaigns from New Haven (more that $8K paid, more than $4K still owed). * Michael Farina and Geoffrey Luxenberg of The Vinci Group in Manchester (almost $5K was already paid). * NGP Van Inc. in Washington DC * Michael Beckendorf in Washington DC.
Nicole DeMalo resides in Seymour. Joseph Desautel Jr. resides in Old Saybrook. John Downes resides in Berlin. Michael McDonald resides in Clinton. What's these guys have in common? They're all with the DOWNES CONSTRUCTION CO. which does BIG business with the City of Hartford. Oh, and each of them contributed the maximum allowed to the Segarra campaign.
Michael Farina was hired as a consultant to the Segarra Campaign. The filing for contributions lists a "Michael Farina", a professor at Yale University and resides on Robert Rd. in Manchester (Section B., page 3 of 187). Something here smells fishy; needs some verification.
Alan Lazowski, the executive at LAZ Parking, does a lot of business with the city. Good thing he contributed to the Segarra campaign the maximum amount allowed.
Marc Forschino of Windsor Locks, the owner of Capitol Bail Bonds, and Simone Motuzick from Glastonbury, a bondsman at Capitol Bail Bonds, each gave Segarra the maximum amount allowed.
Charlie Ortiz of Prospect Ave. in Hartford, yes, that Charlie Ortiz, gave the max amount allowed to the campaign. His occupation is listed as CEO, and the employer listed as "CBRI, LLC." According to the State of CT, Dept. of State, there's no entity by that name. We need additional information/verification.
Ken Schultz and Stella Butler, both with Imagineers, doing BIG business with the city, they both contributed to Segarra's campaign. For the record: why live in Hartford? He lives in Wethersfield. She lives in Bloomfield.
Stuart Katz, Mark Green (he's in Scottsdale, AZ) and Heidi Janty (is there apt. #12K at 1 Gold St.), all with Atlantic Development, big yes for having business relations with the city, all contributed to Segarra's campaign.

My computer couldn't handle the download, due to the size, but I did scroll down and see enough of it to notice that most of the donations were from people/businesses who have benefited from Pedro's "largesse"...and most of those live out of town or out of state. Rabbi Lazowski's baby boy Alan (LAZ Parking) kicked in a grand; now there's a surprise.
I saw on a Facebook thread yesterday that a group of Segarra-boosters are rabidly crying "Pedro for governor!", including that paid hack with zero integrity, Sindland. She's also touting his wonderful record: Balancing the budget! Crime rate down! Graduation rate up! Every one of those items has been either proved false, or has been skewed by ignoring the real facts.
One of Segarra's main missteps has been underestimating the intelligence of the people of Hartford. Yeah, just throw a "fact" out there, and the voters will believe it because it came from the city. Not this time, Pedro. Not any more...
Yet another Hartford joke.....Caviar claims to be a man of the people, one who worked his way up(by tricking?) But look at his donors, mostly rich white business people. What do you do for them Perpo? What is the quid pro quo? City contracts, no bid jobs, school work, protection ? Whatever you are giving to these rich whites must be pretty good. Do they know that you wont let one of their kids apply to the Hartford Fire Department due to the residency requirement? Perpo, you will take their money while discriminating against their kids. What kind of man are you?
Pee drito represents who? ---------------- The first person listed is a Helene Figueora. She once was a pretty good pitcher for the Yanks. She won the Cy Young in 1976, but now Helene is a csea/seiu union "organizer." Whether Pedro represents the unions or not, at least this activist must believe he won't act against their interests. If and when Judge Killian raises any money I'm betting there will be precious little from public sector union guys.
2:08am, Same Alex Aponte who failed to disclose his connection to SAMA and handed them 1/2 million dollar city owned property for $1. Shame on you Aponte- time for you to go.
This file is too big, couldn't download it, but I was able to browse through the lists of contributors to the campaign of caviar. There're no everyday people there, most of them don't even live in Hartford, some live in Florida, Maryland, Arizona or DC. Most of these donors or contributors are the ones benefiting and profiting big time from the caviar man and his administration.
I didn't expect a lot of money coming from Hartford residents who on an average earn in a whole year less than what Segarra is making in 30 days. But I was shocked to find out that a huge amount of money is coming from lawyers all over, many of them doing business and getting paid by the city, and other people who make big big bucks from our city.
Konover own a lot of commercial properties in Hartford. For example 833 Park St., 841 Park St., 851 Park St., 863 Park St. are called Zion Park Association, but it's most likely owned by Konover Residential of West Hartford. Look at the taxes they pay for all those properties - residential and stores - so why not throw $1,000 from each member of the Konover family towards Segarra campaign. In my opinion this is what's cooking here. for your attention Jon Lender
What is Al Llg address? Where in Hartford dose live? He doesn't live in Hartford. Pedro keeps bringing him back. Al loves that Hartford mighty $$$. Is anyone surprised that he contributed $1,000 to Pedro's re-election bid.
Mr. LAZ Parking, how much did the city compensated you last year? How much do you pay your employees, $8 or $9 an hour? How about giving $1,000 each month to your best employee? They deserve it more than Pedro.
Hmmm... the best government special intrests can buy... whose looking out for the average home owner who's taxes on their homes and vehicles pays the bills for the special interest projects this special intrest mayoral candidate dreams up!
Where is Pedrito 's headquarters? Hartford Residents can't contribute 1,000, but we can all donate a bag of s**t to his headquarters, just like the bag of s**t he gave us.
Send a message, Drop off a bag of s**t in front of his headquarters... this list smells, the stench smells like kickbacks.
HARTFORD SAY NO TO THIS CORRUPT CRIMINAL, PERVERTED LIAR!!!!
Can anyone confirm if Charlie O. is indeed the CEO of CBRI, LLC as claimed or this is just baloney to mess up and confuse everyone with the campaign contributions.
I agree, at this point it's not important if Luke Bronin or Robert Killian win the election. What is important is that after 5 years Pedro E. Segarra, his cronies, his mismanagement, his corruption will be over with.
I rather donate to a chimpanzee in the zoo than to......... any chimpanzee will do a better job than......... and it won't even charge us for caviar (bananas going now for 59cents/lb, way less than caviar)
THE OPINIONS EXPRESSED ON THIS BLOG ARE STRICTLY THAT, MY OPINIONS.After getting fed up with the lack of openness in Hartford City Hall, I decided to begin a program on Hartford Public Access Television called "WE THE PEOPLE". Through tips received we have been able to expose numerous issues that the Perez Administration would prefer to keep quiet.
Any information received is kept in strict confidence, feel free to e-mail me at krbrookman@earthlink.net or call me at 860-883-2297 with any information.

Al Ilg $1,000? Guess that's how the old codger keeps his cushy employment with the city.
Not 2 many Hartford Latinos or African Americans on that list- Pee drito represents who?

There was a fundraiser for Segarra at J's Crab Shack in February. Was caviar served at that event?

How much money have you collected from the city of Hartford during the years that Pedro and Sandy is/was in office?

Notice how much money from tge Konover family. Worth looking into.

Kainen Escalera and McHale attorneys (misspelled in the filings) enjoy city contracts, and paid their tribute to King Caviar.
almost the entire list is from people who gain $$ from Hartford. most care just about their $$, they don't even live in the city
"SHOW ME THE MONEY" is more like "SHOW PEDRO THE MONEY."
Anonymous at 3:16 The taxes Konover pay for the above properties are rediculously low!
What is Al Llg address? Where in Hartford dose live? He doesn't live in Hartford. Pedro keeps bringing him back. Al loves that Hartford mighty $$$. Is anyone surprised that he contributed $1,000 to Pedro's re-election bid.
Ilg lives in Windsor , a few blocks south of Councilwoman Jennings
4;32PM
why do you think they make those contributions? It sure isn't because they believe in him as Mayor or his leadership.
how about a full listing of all canidates
I have the list, I will post it tonight

10:36 very soon the taxes on your home and vehicle will pay for the YARD RATS stadium which will have a luxury box reserved for... you know who
Al's money from Segarra's administration is more like $$$$$.
I just noticed that Patrick Romano--briefly Pedro's hired gun--is now "Liking" posts on Bob Killian's Facebook campaign page.
It is America , I guess he is free to express himself
There's one very good thing about these donor lists: It makes it easy for people to know which businesses and services to boycott. Thanks Kevin!
Is Eileen Pollack of Terry Road thw same Eileen Pollack of Westerly Terrace, W. Hartford? What about the value of her donation?
Alan LAZowski, does your contribution to Sgarra has anything to do with making money from the city of Hartford
Where is Pedrito 's headquarters? Hartford Residents can't contribute 1,000, but we can all donate a bag of s**t to his headquarters, just like the bag of s**t he gave us.

Pedrito ' s headquarters iare in city hall.Everyone's telling me that he's using his office for the campaign
Pedro campaign still waiting for more info regarding Eileen Pollack contribution, that's for the Terry Rd. Eileen Pollack
Can anyone confirm if Charlie O. is indeed the CEO of CBRI, LLC as claimed or this is just baloney to mess up and confuse everyone with the campaign contributions.
Some of my collegues are saying that we have to get ready for better says, the days after Segarra, whether it's going to be Bronin or Killian.
geographical discrimination is rampant in Hartford, this city or any city could not survive without "outsiders". Suburbanite lives matter.
I agree, at this point it's not important if Luke Bronin or Robert Killian win the election. What is important is that after 5 years Pedro E. Segarra, his cronies, his mismanagement, his corruption will be over with.
How do I donate? Hehehe
