A LAME DUCKS ATTEMPT TO STACK THE DECK

If someone truly loves Hartford as much as he tried to make us believe during the recent campaign, Pedro Segarra needs to forget the ego and start showing us that love, if it really exists.

Now I understand politics a little bit. I also understand that a "lame duck", especially one soundly defeated, will try to leave is mark as he leaves.

The problem simply is that the direction of Pedro Segarra's administration ,as well  as that of his predecessor, has left a terrible void in Hartford's leadership. The next Mayor deserves to shift and replace whatever is needed to begin making real change. Last minute replacements throughout City Hall as well on Boards and Commissions are simply an attempt at establishing roadblocks to impede the forward movement of the next administration.

Segarra's last minute moves to appoint an Assistant Fire Chief and now filling slots on the Pension Commission are sleazy attempts to stymie the next administration.  The slots on the pension Commission are actually not vacant and although the terms of the 2 Commissioners expired as far back as two years ago, both were were still serving, so there was no rush to fill their positions. Except when you look at the fact that the two current Commissioners are believed to be supportive of the Bronin Campaign and the 2 Segarra appointees are apparently Segarra loyalists and donors to the Segarra campaign.

Does a campaign donation really warrant an appointment to the Pension Commission? The pension Commission is too important of an appointment to gamble and rush with. Currently the Hartford Pension Commission manages in excess of nearly $1billion dollars in retirees pension investment dollars .The future of Hartford's retirees demands that these appointments not be taken lightly or relegated to political payback or retaliation.

If the two individuals brought forth by Segarra are qualified to serve, then so be it. But that is a decision that should be left up to the next Mayor and the next Hartford City Council  as they build their own team for the future. The same rings true for Assistant Fire Chiefs also.

Mator Segarra, if you are a man of your word and truly support your successor for a transparent shift, as you publicly stated in Burr Mall, then show us you still have integrity and do it.

Pedro is a sore loser. The general election is four weeks from today. I can't wait. I wonder how many candidates have applied for the AC positions on the HFD. Also, the NIOSH report on the Bell death should be coming out soon.

Dont you worry one bit. The shoe polish is in place. The second pension will begin to plump even bigger when Assistant Chief Waller takes command.
And when Bronin gives the boot to Charlie, bang!! Terry will slide on in or will be paid a king's ransom to leave town. And that is ok too, with a six figure pension, free medical, multiple properties, life is good these days to be lord waller .
All you fire mice like to joke, but who is the joke? Money talks and terry has a ton of it !

Too bad Sergeant Gentry. I guess your legal advice dept failed you. Next time dont make it so obvious who wrote that memo for you. Then your obtuse thinking that sending it to everyone would give you some brownie points..... You need to take the retainer back from ford and west before the meter runs out..

Hey, Tic Tac Toe Terry, make sure all your money, all your properties are in a trust, at least for the time you're gonna spend in jail.
As for the chief position, you'll get the chief position, chief of wiping asses, lots of big, dirty asses.

Isn't it obvious that Pedro C. ("C" for corruption and/or caviar, your choice) will try to sabotage anything before he leaves office

Kevin, I have a question for you. Why does a skunk cross th street?

Give up? To meet another skunk, MAYOR PEDRO SEGARRA. I am not sure where to place the blame. After all, we, the people of Hartford elected him. We didn't have much choice during th last go round. His opponent was Eddie (give it all to the unions) Vargas. Hartford is pathetic. We usually elect from the bottom of the barrel. Hopefully, we snagg d a good one. I think so. One of the biggest problems Luke will face is the u io s. They are a horror. They cost th city so much. They keep good for nothing overweight do- nothing's.

Good luck Luke.

We, the people of Hartford, elected that skunk, Pedro Caviar. We didn't know much, we didn't have much choice. Now, we, the people of Hartford, are in the process of removing that stinky skunk from office. We know better, we have a much better choice.

He's throwing impediments to meaningful pension reform and of course protecting his peeps from having their benefit schemes toyed with.

IN MY OPINION PEDRO SEGARRA IS A CROOK, BIG TIME CROOK. ONCE A CROOK, ALWAYS A CROOK.

Mayor Bronin will not give the boot to Charlie Huertas.
Huertas is going to give the boot. . . to himself.

Kevin, To honor Terry Waller and Sandy Kee Borges, may I suggest renaming the Hartford basevall team "THE YARD RATS"?

The only good thing about SKB is that she has nice legs. I'm a leg man so I should know.

85 days remaining before the Segarra Administration is out. How much more damage can Segarra do in the last 85 days?

@7:31AM- That is a really scary thought. The other scary thought is what surprises will be uncovered when the new administration takes over?

Gentry made Sgt? Congrats an Thorpe is # 1? There just might be hope for that racist dept yet!!

85 DAYS: LET THE COUNTDOWN BEGIN

Tic Tac Toe Terry who was "FORCE FED" to Huertas as AC. The useless significant other of SKB that went to a fatal fire and never took command as the senior officer. No doubt he got his overtime pay though. Brady never explained to the press why Waller should not be to blame. They think they have their scapegoat lined up.

Down to 83 days until the biggest party ever in the history of Hartford.
We counting for you Maria Pedro Caviar.
