IS IT REALLY THAT HARD FOR CITY HALL TO TELL THE TRUTH?

After the previous post and the "Press Release" from City Hall claiming that the dispatch Center was moved due to a "mock exercise" I have received numerous calls from people inside the building

Apparently, as I have previously posted, the evacuation is due to an infestation of fleas. Once again, I stand by my information, no matter how the City tries to spin the information.

I received one internal memo through "alternative means" and another one detailing the infestation should be available shortly.

Why can't they just tell the truth, how difficult would it be to say " we have experienced an infestation of fleas and for the health and safety of our employees, we will be moving the dispatch Center for 24 hours as we exterminate the area."

What else should we expect them to lie to us about? Once again, so much for that "Segarra Transparency". Do you see the words "mock exercise" anywhere in the Chief's memo?

No one believes crap what the Hartford Propaganda Machine "HPD" tells us anymore. Now when they have a press release involving something serious like a cop shooting no one will believe it because they are destroying their credibility on dumb stuff like fleas.

January 1st can't come fast enough.

Anonymous,

All that January 1st means is that we have a solid four years of this nonsense to look forward to.

This had nothing to do with Chief Roberts, Nancy Mulroy put out the press release under the direction of the Mayor's Chief of Staff

I didn't know Nancy answered directly to the Chief of Staff. You're right the new Chief will just have to work under that city hall nonsense.

Maybe after the Mayor gets back from his vacation, and if he not to busy marching in some parade he can really get to work and straighten out the dope (Jared) that works for him. He did a good job making the Mayor look like a fool at the MARC monthly meeting a while back and he's at it again.
If you just told the truth then people might have some faith in city hall, but to lie about something a minor as this what will they do when it's something of significance? Oh, they will just ignore it as they have done with everything else that has to deal with the PD. They should use a couple of those insect bombs on the second floor too.

Jaffe himself has been saying the move was for bug infestation. I'm sure this whole process was good training in the event of an emergency, but why not just say that.

City Hall could say something along the lines of "Yes this operation was for insect extermination, but more importantly this also serves as a good exercise and training in the event of a future emergency." Expand on it a little and really sell its dual purpose.(I'm not even a public relations person)

More lies. There is no leadership at that PD. Nobody at that PD has the balls to stand up and say "Let’s not lie anymore, let’s be open and forthright"

anonymous 6:39pm,

I think they all come under the "Mayor's Office of New Media" now, more positions created in the Mayor's Office, without Council approval by the way, as required by the City Charter, but who cares about the rules, it;s Hartford

Since we are New England's Detroit...
-----------------------------------
Facing a $45 million cash shortfall, Detroit Mayor Dave Bing announced Friday the city would eliminate 1,000 positions by the end of February.
Also, the mayor ordered a hiring freeze for all civil service positions other than in the water and sewerage department.
Earlier this week, Bing outlined the concessions he's seeking from the city's unions. The measures would save about $40 million and prevent an emergency manager from running Detroit.

Jaffee is a maggot was a terrible cop and should have been fired in the 1990's for misconduct.

He garnered no respect, can not point to a major arrest he made in any point of his career and was a back of the line guy especially when the physical part fo the job began.

This is the best they could do when filling that position. Good god the city is in a terible fix when the least of what used to be the department is the Director of Communications.
