ANOTHER HARTFORD BOE HORROR STORY

It just never ends at the Hartford Schools. And it really makes me wonder who is watching out for the children. These incidents are deplorable.

Apparently a babysitter was sent to the MD Fox School recently to pick up a student. The student was apparently wearing a hooded sweatshirt when the child was handed off to the babysitter.

According to sources, when the babysitter got the child home and took off the hooded sweatshirt, they realized they had the wrong child .  I am not really sure how this could happen with any responsible adult entrusted with the care of a child, but it did happen. They promptly returned to M D FOX School and claimed the correct child and returned the mistaken child to the teacher.

How could this happen and what is the proper procedure for anyone other than a parent to pick up a child from a Hartford School? And what was the reporting process? Who if anyone was notified of this dangerous error and what steps are being  taken to make sure it doesn't happen again.

My suspicion is NONE and every effort was and is probably being made to handle in the school to avoid embarrassment and the public and the media from finding out.

Several people have already called me about this incident, as well as others that I am digging into. If you have information on this incident or any others you would like to make me aware of, please contact me

CORRECTION: THE SCHOOL WAS INCORRECTLY IDENTIFIED, IT WAS ACTUALLY THE M D FOX SCHOOL, AND IT WAS APPARENTLY THE CLASSROOM TEACHER WHO RELEASED THE  WRONG STUDENT

So help me out here , West Middle school’s staff reflects the makeup of the neighborhood ,I thought this is what Hartford’s political leaders and the Hartford Public School system wanted and demanded. So what’s the issue ? Even the kid wasn’t upset about being picked up by a stranger. What’s that say about being born and raised in the capital city of Hartford? Keep hiring and placing the wrong person for the job and this type of incompetence will only continue throughout the entire city.Unlike the forced reflection of the city related to hiring for the Hartford Fire/Police Departments ,fortunately chances are slim that this dangerous practice will harm or kill a child. Too bad we can’t enforce “ color blindness “ as a requirement for ALL Human Resource employees who are involved in hiring.

Was the person who handed over the child to the babysitter that child's teacher or another classroom teacher? Because those are the only staff who should be with the students at dismissal/pickup time. If that job is entrusted to an aide or anyone else, then the school is entirely at fault. If a child who does not ride the school bus is to be picked up by anyone other than a parent or older sibling, then the protocol should be that the parent/caretaker notifies the school office ahead of time in writing with the name of that person. If it is an emergency situation necessitating someone acting in the parent's stead, then notification and name should be given in a phone call. In those cases, the person picking up the child must present identification to the teacher monitoring dismissal. If there is any doubt, the teacher should ask the child if they know the person who has arrived to pick him/her up, as well as that person's name. If there is still doubt, then they must not release the child and instead contact the parent or the emergency contact(s) on file. Any other practice constitutes negligence.

Another trump embarrassment that you don't post. Ignoring it won't make it stop. He's an idiot and a humiliating embarrassment to our country.

What are you talking about? How does the incompetence of the Hartford Board of Education have anything to do with Trump?
