PLEASE, PLEASE , PLEASE, HELP SEND A MESSAGE MONDAY THAT PREDATORS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED IN HARTFORD'S SCHOOLS

The Educator charged with Predatory behavior-Eduardo Genao

The Board President-Rich Wareing

The  "I knew nothing" Superintendent-Beth Schiavino-Narvaez

The busy , hectic day no time to respond Chief of Staff-Gislaine Ngoudou

I am being told that a march is being scheduled for Monday, beginning at 4:30PM, going from the Board of Education Offices at 960 Main Street to the Hartford City Council chambers at City Hall.

The march will precede the public comment session for the Council meeting, where anyone can sign up and speak.Hopefully, parents, students, educators and Hartford residents will show up to voice their concerns on how the Eduardo Genao alleged criminal behavior was handled and the lack of accountability by Board of Education personnel.

As of this time there still does not to appear to be any discipline or even reprimands for the mishandling of the matter by the Superintendent and her Chief of Staff Gislaine Ngoudou. The BOE still appears to be in bunker mode to avoid releasing relevant information which would show who knew what and when they knew it.

The elected and appointed members of the Board of Education have it within their power  to open the doors on this mess and set a strong tone of accountability. Your voices will help to let them know we will not go away on this matter until it is handled properly. Handled  to protect every child that trusts and relies on adults at the Hartford Schools to keep them safe.

Rich Wareing and others have done a lot for the Hartford Schools, but leadership calls on them to also take a stand on difficult issues when called upon. I don't think there is any issue more difficult than an adult preying on students, and Rich Wareing needs to put the politics aside and focus on the children. This calls upon his leadership to guide the Board through appropriate actions. Covering the issue through silence is not an appropriate action.

Again, Monday 4:30PM to join the March at 960 Main Street, march south on Main Street to City Hall, 6:00PM , Public comment session at Hartford City Hall. Make your voices heard for the children, PLEASE

I will be there - Is there anyway we can get this to the school, or other press. This is SOOOOOOO needed in Hartford. My hat is off to Dr. Lewis for standing up and being a leader and to you Kev for supporting Dr. Lewis. I just hope the citizens of Hartford would stop being afraid and join us.

I will NOT be there. Waste of time. It's all the same s--t in Hartford. Corruption all over.

Fire those overpaid good-for nothings!

No doubt about that, if we use your thinking and just give up,nothing will ever change. I prefer to fight for what I believe in

These are all BOE "leaders" who only care about themselves, their income, their benefits, nothing else. They pretend to "help". If things don't work for them the way they want or the way they plan, they go somewhere else, but not before they get their golden parachute.

While we are at it, we should fire the Fire Chief and Mayor for allowing a child abuser to stay on the job when everyone knew it.

What proof do you have that they knew it? As soon as she was arrested and Chief Freeman reviewed the facts of the case , she was suspended WITHOUT pay.

Hopefully, numerous adults, administrators, teachers and students will attend. The more speakers the better. The situation is serious. Let the people be heard.

The Superintendent and her Chief of Staff are being blamed for dirty laundry, that has been in the district for years. Everyone with the exception of Michael Downs has forgotten about the district attorney. The Labor Relations Department is where all internal complaints are reported. Therefore I ask you and all those who have weighed in, what are we going to do about that individual. Please remember, the district is on it's fourth superintendent; however they have had the same legal representation. Some of the same individuals pointing blame at the Superintendent, were present when the SBB budget model came into effect. The parents and board members are blaming Dr. Narvaez for salaries and schools closing. Why weren't these same questions asked of the superintendent that created this environment while he was here. Dr. Narvaez didn't open all of the schools in the district. However she is being held accountable for the destruction left in the wake of prior superintendents decisions. Individuals would have come forward regarding Genao and other injustices, unfortunately board employees are always subject to retaliation. Haven't you all noticed that past individuals that complained are no longer employed with the Hartford Public Schools. Kevin and readers, please beware of those individuals with hidden agendas. Kevin you have been known to dig deep for the truth. Please continue digging because there are a lot more injustices going on behind closed doors. Their are more individuals that believe they are above the law. In closing I ask that you all remember, that Mr. Genao would not have had access to that unfortunate child, had he been let go from the district many years ago and not continue to be promoted. Why is it that every complaint you published, was found to be unsubstantiated. Food for thought!

The people's voices are being heard but at the end of the day the leaders/officers/administrators do whatever is right for their own interests

Something to consider: Even if her day was truly hectic at what point did the chief of staff actually act on the allegation. Mandated reporters have 12 hrs to make a report and they are protected from erroneous claims because it is safer to follow up on inaccurate claims than to ignore them. From what I can gather, she never reported it even got involved until the police notified the Board about the investigation, about two weeks later. Does the superintendent only hold teachers and staff (which she didn't bring with her and give "cush" jobs to) responsible to fulfil their duty. And in a larger scheme, why hasn't DCF opened an investigation on those who knew and failed to report?

Silence equals complicity
Was the Chief of Staff complicit in this crime because of her silence?

You know Kevin, those photographs - something comical and strange about them at the same time. They are surreal.
